Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have partnered with Hyundai for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and a cool new commercial features stars Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon!

We kick things off with Peter Parker in a motel room watching a news report about his identity being revealed to the world. With that, the teenager decides to suit up and head back to New York City to clear his name...unfortunately, he has nothing to swing from. A long walk follows until his buddy Ned arrives and they make the long 300-mile trip back to the Big Apple together.

This clearly isn't meant to be "canon," but is a lot of fun and may shed at least some light on what the web-slinger did after his secret identity was revealed to the world. Either way, the commercial was directed by Jon Watts, so it definitely has that familiar MCU feel to it.

Check out this Spider-Man: No Way Home tie-in below:

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."

Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

Anyone else feel like this was pieces together by like 8 completely different locations?

I can understand making a car commercial with Tony Stark. That character is a car guy, with a fleet of sports cars in his garage. I don’t understand why we’re seeing car commercials featuring Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, or the Eternals. Spider-Man’s super powers preclude the need for a car.

Such a bad JJJ impression haha why couldn't they just have gotten J.K??
ANewPope - 11/22/2021, 11:56 AM
@Nightwing1015 - Sounds like the one from the Insomniac games?
Nightwing1015 - 11/22/2021, 3:20 PM
@ANewPope - Which is a fine voice as its own version and everything but in terms of sounding like the MCU version it sounds like a poor imitation.

From Audi to Hyundai. What a downgrade.

So what's the "endgame"? Peter to somehow convince the world that he's not Spider-Man, even though he totally is? I wonder if the Sonyverse stuff will be enough to distract people, from a pretty lame conflict in the plot.

The identity reveal was correctly handled by Sam Raimi in Spider-Man 2. He's the local hero that's earned so much respect from New York citizens, that they're willing to protect him, and his secret.
