Sony Pictures finally released the new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home earlier this week, and although it didn't feature the returning Spideys played by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, it did give us a much better look at the threequel's plethora of villains.

A couple of different versions have since found their way online that include some brief snippets of new/alternate footage, and the trailer has now been released in IMAX. While none of these shots are new, the expanded aspect ratio allows us to see a little more (26%, to be exact) of the picture. This doesn't reveal very much, to be honest, but we do get a proper look at Green Goblin's glider.

It's also worth noting that Sony has now removed all trace of The Lizard being punched by an invisible adversary from the Brazilian version of the trailer!

"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."

Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters next month.

@DoubleD - Is Electro wearing an arc reactor?

@Knightrider - In one shot where we see the tech suit you can see Electro and he looks blue so im wondering if thats some kind of containment suit and thats the logic behind why he looks more human. It might even be arc reactor based

@Ha1frican - My theory is that Lizard gives Electro the serum to "cure" him and it ends up turning him back to his skin tone but he keeps his powers and then Ock builds him a suit to stabilize his power.

@SonOfAGif - That makes sense although I think Lizard and Sandman arent coming in until the 3rd act. I think its Dock Ock and Goblin, then Electro, the Sandman and Lizard, and then Toby and Andrew. Given that Lizard is official I now think Venom wont appear until either right at the end or a post credits.

Wonder if this will top all spider-man movies and media. This film is ambitious. I can't wait to see this, i already got the money saved for ticket day. Cant wait to see Tobey in action. I just don't know who to take first, my father or my date

@GoofBallAbe - I think no matter how good it is people will still stan Spider-man 2. That level of nostaglia is not easily overcome even a movie leaning into it as heavily as this one

@YonnyLayna - I mean lets be honest have any of the Spider-man movies ever really had that strong writing? lol

@GoofBallAbe - Personally I think Into the Spider-Verse is alongside Logan and The Dark Knight. So I’d be pleasantly surprised if NWH were better or as good as Spider-Verse.

Based on the trailers, this movie is going to try for some dark and sinister themes/stakes, which is something we've asked for from MCU Spider-man for a long time.

Really has the potential to be the Azkaban of the Spider-man series
