Over the weekend, six new TV spots for Spider-Man: No Way Home found their way online and offered a much closer look at villains like Doctor Octopus, Electro, Sandman, and The Lizard. Now, though, a more detailed look at Max Dillon has revealed an intriguing new detail that could factor heavily into the movie's plot. Oh, and guess what? It once again has something to do with Iron Man!
Tony Stark has played a big role in both of Spider-Man's solo adventures in the MCU, so we're not surprised the same is happening again here. As you can see, Electro has an Iron Man Arc Reactor on his chest, likely to keep his powers under control (it's rigged into the exoskeleton he's wearing).
This probably explains why Max is no longer blue following his introduction in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and it's certainly interesting to think about the role Stark Industries tech could play in Spider-Man: No Way Home. After all, we know Doctor Octopus uses Peter Parker's nanotech Iron Spider suit to enhance his four extra arms, and Norman Osborn could do a lot with Iron Man's gear.
Take a closer look at this Electro reveal below:
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."
Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.
