Sony Pictures Boss Teases Key SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Scene And Iron Man's Role In The Story
Tom Rothman talks here about working alongside Marvel Studios, offering an update on how filming is going and spilling the beans both on a key high school scene and why Iron Man will be appearing...
In the video below, Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman talks in detail about Spider-Man: Homecoming, including mentioning that Michael Keaton has yet to start shooting his mystery role (rumoured to be The Vulture) and that they've already filmed most of the high school set scenes. One of those is apparently a Homecoming dance, something many fans guessed would be the case some time ago.
He also goes on to say that while having Robert Downey Jr. appear is good for Sony commercially, the character will still be a pivotal part of the movie as it builds on the budding friendship between Spider-Man and Iron Man. Rothman also has nothing but good things to say about Captain America: Civil War and Kevin Feige, and it definitely sounds like Sony are in it for the long haul with Marvel Studios.
Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Michael Mando, Bokeem Woodbine, Abraham Attah, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Zendaya, and several others. The movie is currently set to be released on July 7th, next year.
