It has been a while since we have received news on upcoming Marvel Studios projects' and the future of their release - especially in the wake of the agreement reached between the WGA and AMPTP - allowing writers to go back to work for fair compensation.

With that said, new details about the anticipated Marvel Studios series - Spider-Man: Freshman Year; have been released, as we have been granted new information about who will be voicing which characters, a new synopsis for the series, and an official release date!

These reports come from thecosmiccircus.com - who have additionally reported on news alluding to other Marvel Studios projects such as: Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Daredevil: Born Again, and Ironheart, which you can read all about here:

“Marvel Studios presents “Spider-Man: Freshman Year” in which Peter Parker’s life, while getting ready for his High School orientation, is forever changed by events that send him on a journey like none before. In the first episode, we discover that the new era of Spider-Man begins here!”

Additionally, the official main voice cast for Spider-Man: Freshman Year has been revealed to feature:

- Hudson Thames as Peter Parker,

- Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln,

- Grace Song as Nico Minoru,

- Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius,

- Kari Wahlgren as Aunt May,

- Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn

Ever since the series has been announced by Kevin Feige at last years' San Diego Comic-Con, fans have been wondering if the current Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man himself - Tom Holland, would be lending his voice to play the adolescent Peter Parker in his own titled series.

While this news may infuriate those who were expecting Tom Holland to be confirmed to voice this animated take on Spider-Man, you will be happy to know that Daredevil actor - Charlie Cox - who is additionally set to reprise his role as Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again, will be voicing Matt Murdock in the series.

Lastly, Spider-Man: Freshman Year has been given an official release date, as the series will release on Disney+ on November 2nd, 2024.

Marvel Studios Spider-Man: Freshman Year premiere on November 2, 2024, comes before Daredevil: Born Again to premiere in January 2025.

Not Surprised Spider-Man been very successful for Marvel Studios. Spider-Man is my second favorite Marvel comics Superhero.

Spider-Man is Marvell Studios most successful character has a massive audience.

So is this not cannon then? It can’t be because if it was why did Peter have no idea who Norman Osborn and Otto Octavius were in No Way home? Otto and Harry would have existed in the MCU if it was so it doesn’t really make sense that he’d have no idea who they were or know anything about Harry when Tobey brings him up

I'm so tired of Peter being in High School already.

@SirDuckAlot - yeah, I would have accepted if it was an MCU prequel set before Civil War, but this is getting old.
Only way I want to see him in high school again is continuing Spectacular Spider-Man

Anyone who pays attention to these kinds of things knows it was never going to be Tom Holland because his contract, courtesy of Sony, forbids him from playing Spidey in animated projects, that's why he didn't do What If?

Sounds great.

After two mediocre Spidey series (Ultimate, 2017 show), Third time might just be the charm.

Intriguing voice cast. Kari Wahlgren, one of my favs in the business, is on a bit of a roll—between this and Martha Kent on My Adventures with Superman, she’s probably the first actress in general to play two of the most famous mother figures in comic book history.

November 2nd? That's a Sunday. I thought Marvel's new release days were on Thursdays, which make a lot more sense to me. And also, isn't Agatha supposed to release on Halloween? Can't see them droppping two Marvel shows in the same week
