Zendaya Explains How She Managed To Film SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY & DUNE: PART THREE Around The Same Time

Zendaya has explained how she was able to film her scenes for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Dune: Part Three, and the third season of Euphoria during the same time period...

Zendaya has become one of the most highly in-demand young stars in Hollywood, and has several major big and small screen projects on the horizon.

Zendaya, who has A24's controversial black comedy The Drama (more here) hitting theatres this weekend, is set to star in the third season of HBO's Euphoria, as well as Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Dune: Part Three - and she filmed her scenes for all three around the same time.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Zendaya was asked how she managed to pull off shooting these major projects on such a tight schedule.

"I have no idea," the actress replied. "Good scheduling. A good team. No, it was really – it was quite jarring too, because while we were filming Dune, I would then kind of go off and do Spider-Man and then jump back into Dune and then jump back into Spider-Man."

"Literally, the day I wrapped Euphoria, it was like four in the morning, and I had a flight in the next few hours to go to Budapest to shoot Dune. So, I was like, ‘Pack my whole life up in one night, and let’s go.’"

There are other factors that could have allowed her the opportunity to film these massive blockbusters simultaneously.

We have heard that Zendaya's MJ will only have a minor role in Brand New Day, and if Dune: Part Three sticks closely to the plot of Frank Herbert's Dune: Messiah, she may have even less to do as Chani!

Following the record-breaking success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins a brand new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult and living alone after erasing himself and the memories of him from those he loves. In a New York that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself wholeheartedly to protecting his city as Spider-Man full-time.

But as the demands on him grow, he is put under increasing pressure. This triggers an unexpected physical change that threatens his existence, while a strange wave of crime emerges - and gives rise to one of the most dangerous threats he has ever faced.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers. The film is produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O'Connor. The cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

She's a superstar. 5 movies in a year is nuts. I'll be seeing The Drama this weekend.

I mean , it’s not necessarily out of the ordinary for actors to film multiple projects simultaneously but that still sounds crazy & hectic nonetheless…

Zendaya’s got a hell of a lineup this year though starting with the dark comedy-drama “The Drama” tomorrow (which is receiving positive reviews) and her tv series “Euphoria” but then she has the big blockbusters in The Odyssey , Spider Man:BND & Dune 3 which makes me think she could be the highest grossing actress by the end of the year.

I know she has said she might take a break after this year just to not overexpose herself since she only has Shrek 5 coming up next year as of now but we’ll see…

She’s a good actress imo though and seems like a genuinely humble person so I hope she finds even more success in the future!!.

@SteviesRightFoo - I don't think she was miscast as Chani. The whole cast of Dune is great imo

@SteviesRightFoo - She kind of reminds me of Batman Begins with Katie Holmes. I don't think Katie and Zendaya are as nearly as bad in these films as people say, but everyone else in the Dune and BB casts are giving A++ performances. So they kind of stick out more. Plus, Zendaya oddly sounds like too much of a modern day person in Dune for some reason.

@BrainySleep - I wish the Fremen spoke their language more and English less ta better help sell the 'foreignness' of it, so ta speak, especially Chani. Like the Nagadans in Stargate

@SteviesRightFoo - thy should’ve had just made her Mary Jane Watson- I hate composite characters in CBMs. Either adapt the character or don’t. But Zendaya is awesome. Seems to have her shit together. Still need to watch Euphoria.

You probably didn’t mean it but the way this article is written sounds like Zendaya is nothing in both of these movies which is bull****. Chani and MJ will have big roles. Zendaya is killin it!

It's not like they have to physically go and live in remote locations for months like LOTR movies. 🤦‍♂️

Green screen EVERYWHERE baby! 🤣
