Neva Howell first played Ma Kent in 2025's Superman movie, and she's set to reprise the role in James Gunn's Man of Tomorrow next summer. Milly Alcock's Supergirl will also return in that movie after taking centre stage this past June in her own solo outing.
Supergirl drew mixed reviews from fans and critics, and its disappointing box office performance has closed the door on a sequel. However, that doesn't mean Milly Alcock's Woman of Tomorrow won't have a recurring presence in the DCU beyond next summer's Superman sequel.
Howell has now shared her review of Supergirl. While she echoed many people's complaints—including Krem of the Yellow Hills being an underwhelming villain and the movie's fight scenes—it sounds like she overall had a good time with the second chapter in the Superman Saga.
The marketing campaign for Clayface should start picking up soon—the movie will be released next month, remember—and a new cut of the trailer is currently playing in theaters.
The few snippets of new footage include a masked Matt Hagen and the Hollywood actor-turned-shapeshifting monster attacking Eddie Marsan's character. Hopefully, at least one more trailer will be officially released in the coming weeks.
Still, whatever any future sneak peeks reveal, it's worth remembering that Clayface's final form will not be revealed in any marketing materials. That could always change depending on box office tracking, of course.
Finally, we have a potential spoiler for this Sunday's episode of Lanterns. When a fan noticed that John Stewart will wield a ring with a different design from Hal Jordan's, the show's prop master replied, "Indeed he did."
Based on how the series has played out so far, it appears John will refuse Hal Jordan's Green Lantern Corps ring, and the Guardians of the Universe will give it to Guy Gardner instead. John getting a new ring in the 2026 timeline adds up, especially if he refuses in 2016.
Unfortunately, as things stand, all signs point to Lanterns ending with Hal no longer being a Green Lantern. The writing has been on the wall for a while, though, as John will be the DCU's main Lantern.
