Amy Adams Says Henry Cavill's Physique In MAN OF STEEL Is "Distracting"

During a press junket for The Muppets, the actress behind 'Lois Lane' in Warner Bros.' Man Of Steel reboot, Amy Adams, shared thoughts with Access Hollywood, so far, working on the big-budget production. However, the Academy Award nominated actress essentially offers up praise for 'Superman' co-star Henry Cavill, and the "distracting" result of his exercise regimen.

“It is a little distracting at first,” Amy, who plays Lois Lane, said of Henry’s ripped body. Amy added that sometimes, Henry’s fantastic physique, is just part of his appeal. “When people first see him, it’s like, ‘Wow. You’re actually really good looking,’” she added.

The actress said she was blown away by her co-star’s dedication to getting into super hero shape. “He’s just such a hard worker and I have so much respect for how hard he’s worked in this role, just tirelessly,” she told Access. “He’s doing a great job.”

As for herself, Amy is loving her latest two roles. “I’m having a really great time,” she told Access. “I was a huge Superman fan growing up as well. So, between ‘The Muppets’ and Superman,’ I feel like it’s like, ‘Wow! What else?’”

Man Of Steel, under Zack Snyder's direction, stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Antje Traue (Faora), Julia Ormond (Lara Lor-Van), Russell Crowe (Jor-El), Harry Lennix (General Swanwick), with Christopher Meloni (Colonel Hardy) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White). And while solid story details are currently being kept underwraps, the reboot releases on June 14, 2013!

Not that this really matters but i'm pretty sure they recast Lora Lor-van from Julia Ormond to someone else and you haven't fixed it in months. The proper actress is Ayelet Zorer playing Superman's birth mother.

Good for WB to market this Man Of Steel to women by actually making Superman sexy vs trying to get into the hearts of the fairer sex by making him an emo whiner.BTW where is the cheesecake shots of Adams in the sexy power suits and short skirts Lois is famous for in the comics?

She's a great actress, especially in The Fighter, and pretty hot too. Still can't see her as Lois though, gunna have to wait til 2013 to see how that pans out.

she's a GREAT actress..NO doubt bout dat...but, i wish, physically, she would get herself into Erica Durance-level of HOTNESS. is that even possible..??

Don't blame her. Cavill's really put work into shaping up for this role, and he's reaping the benefits.

That said...I still can't see Adams as Lois Lane. She's a fine actress and I've overall enjoyed her work, but it just seems like miscasting to me. Maybe she'll surprise me, but I always imagined military brat Lois as the consummate big city tough girl. Energetic, hard-edged, a little intimidating...Adams has more of that farm girl vibe. Are we doomed to see the Lois/Clark relationship reversed in this one? A worldly, fast-talking Supes to a folksy Lois?

I can't wait to see Amy play as Lois Lane, Amy is a great actress.

@LMB10- Don't put all your eggs in one basket, we do have to see how Batman:DKR. Even though both films will involve Christopher Nolan.

Perhaps the worst cast Lois in Superman history. Decent enough actress, but wrong look for the part.

rbfn04 is correct, Lois was drawn with red hair in numerous comics, and the very first live action Lois Lane was played by Noel Neill, a red head. and as far as Lois being older than Superman...she probably should be...she's a seasoned, award winning investigative reporter before Clark ever applies for a job at the Daily Planet, which means years of college, and working her way up from the bottom at the Planet, or possibly even other news papers, so 10 years isn't really a stretch if you wanted to put an ounce of realism in the story, but hey, this is just a movie, based on a comic book, so I guess reality isn't really going to be a factor...point is, we need to have an open mind and not be so rigid about the details...Maybe Amy wanted to dye her hair, but couldn't because she was already filming something else and couldn't, or maybe the director didn't really want her to...could be several reasons...oh, and for whoever said that Margot Kidder was the best Lois Lane...WRONG!!! she was awful!! she had enough forehead for 2 actresses, and looked older than she was because of the veins in the same monstrously large forehead...her voice was annoying...kinda made me think of a mouse that had chain smoked for years, it was both squeeky and gravelly at the same time...I will say that she was a decent actress, and the character was written very Lois-like...but she was definitely NOT attractive..in my opinion of course, but still, of all the actresses they could have chosen, they picked the winner of The Miss Homely USA contest? yikes!

hence, it's not as red as Amy's, but still
