"For me, the only challenge really was helping David Goyer put the story together and helping guide the screenplay where it needed to go and then it was dumping it on Zack Snyder and saying to Zack, 'I hope you can deliver what it is we all see in this.' And he really knocked it out of the park, he's done something very spectacular that I think audiences today are really going to be excited by in a way that I was as a kind when I saw the Christopher Reeve version in 1978."

oh no, let the hate flow...

I love being on CBM but sometimes all this hatred is very tiring ...

I just don't get it.

Very disappointing that they are not going to blend the Dark Knight trilogy with Man of Steel. This is going to turn out to be a HUGE mistake in the long run.

Nolan is a great director. Look at his track record.

@Whiteandgold, yes he's a great director but I'm guessing you're a kid and have never heard of Akira Kurasawa, David Lean, John Ford, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, Ridley Scott or Elia Kazan. I could go on but don't bother responding, you'd just be embarrassing yourself further.

Everyone bitching about it before they've even seen it, SHUT UP. It's freaking Man of Steel. If you honestly think that what a few critics said means it's a bad movie, then you're clearly mentally challenged. This will go down as one of the best superhero movies ever, mark my words. And even though it won't be perfect (just like every movie isn't perfect), it will still be a fantastic movie, and no doubt THE Superman film we have all been waiting for. So seriously, stop criticizing it, YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT. Fanboys are so hard to please, I can't even...

This movie is PHENOMONAL. For everyone so obsessed with reviews (which shouldn't matter all that much) go read them. There are 10's and 9/10 all over the place. We just live in a society where people focus on the negatives. Even the "harshest" reviews are C+ and B- (for some reason the are showing up as rotten)

This film will split general audiences down the middle I think. It takes itself very seriously and is the biggest scope action and story wise ever to be taken on in a CBM. Though it may split general audiences... Having seen the film I'd be shocked if it split the comicbookmovie community. It's literally EVERYTHING that we have waited and asked for in a superman movie. I predict the sequel will be the best CBM of all time now that they have established this incredible universe.

So calling it one of the greatest CBMs of all time isnt jumping the gun, but saying anything negative about it is? curious

@ batz11

The funny thing is WB owns RT!!!! Yeah it hard to see how a film that gets a C or B is getting a rotten....

People hate Nolan for the sheer fact that he is a popular director.

Godzillafart, Nolan is a fantastic director. No director is flawless so why even mention that.

@ParisSun yeah I am 19. I love watching movies and I mostly watch movies that are on the cinemas and not on dvd. Watching past movies won't give me the same feeling as watching the current movies. It is my own opinion any way.
shamo
shamo - 6/12/2013, 10:08 AM
@ParisSun, you speak as if one opinion outweighs another. he could say Uwe Boll is the best director of all time and it would mean just as much as someone saying its Kubrick.

art is meant to be subjective not definitive. but that aside, hopefully this films good because i'll definitely still see it. at the very least it should be worth it for the action and some of the performances.

Hey real simple I will take the Intruder approach... I think Marvel/Disney is behind it!!!!!!

AsgardianHobo - 6/12/2013, 10:10 AM
The reviewers are the ones that choose rotten or fresh themselves. Even if they review a movie to be a B-, they can still set their article up to be rotten. It's not a RT conspiracy, but it is dumb

@ Intruder wait till Friday to spew your hate since there are only 50 reviews in!
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 6/12/2013, 10:17 AM
All I have to say is that if Grown Ups can get a 9 on RT and it get a sequel, every point anyone makes is invalid.

Also didnt 42 just from the 50s to 78 on RT? Yea it's best not to talk shit. Didnt any of your mama's tell you don't count your chickens before they hatch?
TonyChu
TonyChu - 6/12/2013, 10:17 AM
Why are you guys so concerned over the RT score before the release date. The scores are always in a constant state of flux before release. For example, This is the End has been going up and down for weeks now and not to mention Bling Ring was in the lower 50s but is increasing. And on top of that RT does not really hold any weight when it comes to the general audience seeing major blockbuster films. Just look at the Transformers franchise. Not to mention that a lot of the major review outlets have deemed this movie to be great. From many of the reviews this movie is going to be deemed great to average, not in the Green Lantern territory.

IM3 FTW!! XD
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 6/12/2013, 10:17 AM
Nope IM3 was crap in my book, and that is my opinion. But at least I did not crap on IM3 until I saw it for myself unlike some Marvelites who crap on a movie they have not even seen!

TonyChu
TonyChu - 6/12/2013, 10:20 AM
And on top of that there has not even been 100 reviews in as of yet. Now judging from previous RT trends this movie is not getting over an 80%. I'm sorry but it is not. That's not a bad thing to be in the 69-80% range.
