Commencing principal photography next month, set preparation has been openly underway for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, Man Of Steel, in Plano, Illinois. And now, the latest batch of set images, via Superman Homepage, reportedly feature the construction of the famous Kent Farm. With the source also revealing an interesting tidbit regarding Supes in flight, check it out.

I've received word that a scene in the new movie will supposedly show Superman flying through an iHop sign. The purpose built sign was constructed in South Carolina and is due to be shipped out to Illinois on July 15

Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond, Russell Crowe with Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix, the reboot is slated for theaters Mid-December 2012!

@SuspenseSmith- Yep, pretty much how I feel too...the news just isn't very...well...interesting at all.

@DROMEO- That's probably asking too much. Nolan and Snyder seem to have ripped off their own mouths and locked them in lead boxes surrounded by kryptonite ;P

Looks good especially since it will be a small part of the movie. I wouldn't expect to see the suit until they actually start filming or maybe a few months after, Warner Bros doesn't leak everything right away like Marvel.

I prefer the Malborro product placment in Superman 2 over Superman flying through an I hop. Zod should have grabed a back and lit up with heat vision while they were in the smashed Malboro truck

I have high hopes because of the people involved(jus like the avengers) but I'm gonna reserve judgement until the first trailer... I mean, who would've thought singer would make such a crappy movie right after X2...?

I want to see Henry in the suit!!! It better be the classic design. Flying through an IHop sign?? Sounds more like he crashed through one since Superman is not a domestic terrorist destroying property, lol.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: Snyder promised us a view of the suit before filming starts?!? I never heard of this!! When did he say that!?? (Trying not to get overly excited!)

@LP4: Yeah, you're right. He is the one that said that Zod will definitely NOT be the villain in the movie and lo and behold, Zod is the villain! I honestly don't think we'll have a pic until later this year or early next year if we are lucky. And if we do get a pic soon it would most likely be a set pic taken by a fan hiding in the bushes or something. lol

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY: lol, your right, their was a lot of controversy among fans about the new Spidey suit. You have a point. I hope Nolan does allow the pic to be released. So this should be very soon then! YAY! So excited now!! XD

i'm a big time superman collector and fan, my sons name is kalel for crying out loud...i love superman, his story and all that he can do... why the hell do they always do a farm like movie??? so many stories to pick up from... why the farm? we have smallville and it did great as a tv show, now we need the movie... last movie sucked... all except the plane scene which was awesome, but that was it... any hollywood people out there expand your minds, leave the damn farm look behind, superman needs a new story to tell you have burned his story to the ground, do something else, i really really really really really really really want a good superman movie to live up to that "S".... green lantern had a super enemy and flew around space why cant superman?? or is lex to powerfull to leave unchecked?? wtf?? and last but not least get a man to do the superman role not another teenager...

@LoganX35- "If you were a fan you would like superman returns"

Please do us all a favor and don't start blindly calling out people as not being REAL Superman fans just because they didn't like 'Superman Returns'

Fact remains, the movie was boring HASH and Superman never threw a single punch. Yeah he's peaceful and doesn't like resorting to violence BUT he IS a HERO and he FIGHTS to preserve the safety of millions. That should qualify him enough to at least throw a punch. Remember it shouldn't have been a "Dear John" film but that's all we got, lovey-dovey romance and for the Superman-fans expecting to see their hero return in a new and fresh way...we couldn't even get THAT. In the film- Superman was a stalker and the film itself had no connection with the comic books. The comicbooks are the SOURCE MATERIAL. They are what MADE Superman. Without the comicbooks there would have been no Superman for Donner to make films for and for Singer to emulate from Donner. So the simple fact that Singer prioritized the Donner universe of Superman over the COMICBOOKS aka- SOURCE MATERIAL.

So mister "Wolverine fan" if YOU were a true fan of Superman, you wouldn't be bullying people like that for no reason at all. Anyone can be a fan of Superman as long as they appreciate the hero for WHO he is and WHAT he stands for. Saying people aren't real fans of Superman just because they didn't like the crappy 2006 film, is very petty and lame of you.

Now I know you will probably try to post some immature response or threat like last time. Yeah...when you threatened that you wanted me and my family to DIE in a car crash. Yeah I reported your stupid-ass comment then and I'll do it again. Don't even try me.

NOBODY is a 'lesser fan' on this site. Some happen to prefer one over the other. Fact is, we're all geeks and we all love CBMs. Calling people out as not being real fans just because they didn't "love" a movie YOU happened to love is immature and a trend that needs to STOP.

End of debate.
