Last night the MTV Movie Awards aired hosted by the very funny Conan O'brien.

While superhero movies were largely shut out of any wins or even nominations, people should be happy to know that Henry Cavill won the "Best Hero" award for his lead role in 2013's Man of Steel in which he played Clark Ket/Superman. Cavill beat out Robert Downey Jr. (for Iron Man 3), Chris Hemsworth (for Thor: The Dark World), and several others.

Fans of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug should also be happy to learn that Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly took home the award for best fight scene.

Ultimately The Hunger Games: Catching Fire won the top prize of the night.
