"A scene from the upcoming "Superman: Man of Steel" movie, some of which is being shot in Plano, will be filmed on the U.S. 52 bridge over the Fox River east of Serena.
Illinois Department of Transportation media spokesman Josh Kauffman said the Warner Brothers production company was given permission and permits to close the bridge and adjacent highway sections for filming a rumored traffic accident scene on the span. Kauffman said the route will be reopened by Saturday."

The site also mentions that this may be where they will film the scene where a bus crashes in a river. Maybe this is Clark Kent's first rescue misson right when he learns to control his flying abilities.

Wow...a bridge.

@BooYa- No offense man, GREAT find. I'm just bitter about Snyder not revealing the suit yet.

He's very fickle with his words.

Sorry guys I wish there was more exciting news about this movie that I can post but I found this interesting and wanted to hear everyones thoughts on the car crashing into a river scene.

Nothing against you or the article, we're just aggravated we haven't seen the suit yet since Snyder said a while back they would reveal the suit before they begin shooting. So it's just getting a little impatient lol.

@JDUKE- Yeah man...of all the things that could be announced a bridge wasn't one of my top things.

@BooYa- NO worries man, you're just doing your diligent duties as a fellow CBMer. It's SNYDER who needs to own up to and start to finally reveal...SOMETHING about this movie. So far...we know nothing about it. Heck even the car crashing into a river scene is all just talk until SOMETHING gets revealed finally.

@JDUKE- That's the last time I listen to a single thing Snyder says. I seem to remember he downplayed the Zod rumor before even stated that "the internet has no idea what's going on with this movie"

Then..WHOA we got Zod. I have no problem with Zod being the villain since I know Shannon will do a great job and I actually really love the character. But for Snyder to have completely down-played Zod KNOWING in the back of his mind that Zod was the main villain of the film...he shouldn't have down-played it then. He should have just pulled a Nolan and been moot on it.

Then...he said we'll get a damn suit revelation BEFORE filming begins...and...look we're in the second god damn [frick]ing day of filming and still no suit and COMICON 2011 the PERFECT chance to reveal it and they didn't.

[frick] you snyder. See you in 2013

@BooYa- All this hate isn't for you man. This is all for Snyder. =D

@LP4 yeah, he should have just been quiet and had no comment on it. Oh well. As long as he brings a lot of great action and FIGHTING scenes along with a good story I'll completely forget about it lol. Yeah I like Zod too and Shannon will do a good job. I want to see some serious brawling between the two of them. This should set the bar for Comic Book movie fights.

@JDUKE- Yep, hahaha. Snyder needs to stop saying lies about the movie and just show us stuff so we can actually believe more in his credibility.

Oh well...but yeah i agree with you totally- this film SHOULD set the bar for some serious ass-kicking. But the problem is...Superman movies tend to be really boring. That's what has stifled the Superman franchise and it's just sad that this has stifled the franchise up until this point.

Of all the things Snyder has lied about...i really hope he didn't lie about Superman "kicking ass" in this movie because he literally used those words to describe what his Superman will be like.

@LP4 I know, he better had not lied about that. There's no reason for Superman movies to be boring. We better here some good news about the movie soon. Cavill is starting to get pissed too lol.

@BooYa You're doing a great job. Much respect. You're giving us much more info than Snyder has lately lol. @JDUKE25 Awesome pic man! I saw it and was like "whoa, Cavill is [frick]ing Superman!!!

Wow, fanboys are real turncoats, huh? In one article, they praise Snyder, in the next, they say they hate him.

Honestly I'm fine with waiting, it builds up the excitement. We'll probably have a picture of the suit before August, or late August.

Maybe they are still waiting for Henry to bulk up a little more. I don't know just my gutsy feeling. Anyway, just like you guys, I can't wait to see Henry in Superman suit.

@megamattmos.....i agree. im not too upset that its taking this long to see the suit...i think they are still in the deciding phases of what route they wanna go with the suit given the flashpoint garbage. Hopefully they decide to keep it classic.

But if we are gonna bring up suits, that'd be my pick.

Didn't Cavill say that he still didn't fit in the suit in a Comic-Con interview, unless that video was a bit older than I remember.

Maybe @mastarockafella is right. Maybe they're waiting for him to gain a bit more muscle. They might film his scenes as a young Clark & Clark at the Daily Planet and then shoot the scenes with him in the suit after he gains a couple more pounds of muscle. It' a possibility. Maybe that's what they meant by showing us pics of the suit before they actually start shooting the "Superman scenes."

Filming just started and it looks like they're shooting Smallville. They still have to shoot the Krypton scenes with Russel Crowe. It looks like he's also in Chicago so his scenes might be next. Then I'm assuming they'll be shooting in Vancouver for the scenes of Metropolis followed by Cavill actually getting in the suit to shoot his scenes as Superman. These would most likely be the final scenes they actually shoot. By then he would have probably gained another 5-10 pounds of muscle - at least.

Filming normally takes about 5 months. So lets say my prediction is right, that means Superman scenes will be shot later this year - December the latest. So we might see a pic of the suit by Christmas, though I hope they give it to us much sooner, like next month-soon! I wouldn't mind if they shoot his scenes later though cuz by then he'll be huge, and that is good for Superman.

@JDUKE25: Oh shit! That's maad cool! Nice photoshopping! =D A real glimpse of what's to come!

@broncodave83 and JULEZ13 THanks!! Just a quick one I did of Cavill.

@MegaMattMOS I never said I hated Snyder, I really like him and I trust he'll bring us an amazing Superman movie with great action and fight scenes. I'm just feeling a little impatient is all, with all this stuff about Avengers, Spiderman and Batman coming out, I'm just waiting to hear something big about Superman.

I could go either way with the suit. Classic, the new one, or a combination of both. As long as they fix the shield and make it BIG.
