thats cool, means he's got more time in post production. Snyders strong point, hopefully he hasn't tried to change or tweak the script him self. If sucker punch proved anything Snyder can't write a script to save his life.

^ For some reason, I enjoyed Sucker Punch ;P

The story was weak though i admit. I would never want a story THAT weak for a Superman film.

Superman needs a good story with equally good action to match it.

Otherwise it'll be a CBM that is once again left behind in the dust of the other CBMs.

@LP4 yeah I enjoyed the action the visual and actions for sucker punch but thats not going to cut for MOS.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY Julia Ormonds playing Lara

@GDSUPERGUY- Serious dude? lol. Lennix is playing Gen. Swanwick or somethin, a made-up character just for MOS and Meloni is General Sam Lane, not officially but i'm assuming he is and many already have.

@Hellsing- True. The action and visuals were great but I agree, it takes more than that for MOS. MOS needs a good story too.

LP4@ You're welcome

I know it was said that Meloni was going to play a general, but what if Lennix beat him to that part? I am just questioning what has been said because I was wandering how many generals are going to be in this movie. I thought that IF Meloni was not playing a general, he could suit the part of Jax-Ur.

Wow, this is a lot earlier than I thought they would start shooting. Shouldn't be long now until we get some pics of Cavill. I wanna see how big he got. I tried looking online but it was impossible. Nolan and Snyder must have him locked up in a gym somewhere.

@6of13- There are too many generals in this film. LOL

General Zod, General Lane and General Swanwick.

Too much lmao

All jokes aside it might be a good thing we have so many generals in 1 Superman film. At least it guarantees we will be truly seeing a VERY PHYSICAL Superman like the one Snyder had promised to us originally.

If LP4 is correct and Lennix beat Meloni to the punch, maybe Meloni is playing Lex? Just a thought.

I wonder how much they can possibly be thinking to film during those two days....scenery probably. Cant wait to see what they do for the costume.

@MegaMattMOS- Dude don't get my hopes up!!! hahaha I'd love to see Meloni's take on Lex. Damn that'd be great. He does seem somewhat like a tough badboy.

He seems like he'd be a tough Lex, more hard-edged.

Let's keep our fingers crossed people!!!

Casting can still come in even when production is starting. I'm still hoping for Lex.

I can't wait for this movie. I'm sure they'll get things right this time. The best superhero of them all deserves it.

@mastarockafella- Dude totally. Lex HAS to be in this film. If not, then that is the ONE negative tear in Snyder's Superman film. Other than that, i'm completely ecstatic with all the other news about the movie.

But yeah, they can fit Lex in there somewhere. He has yet to have a decent portrayal. I hate to believe that the last big-screen incarnation of Lex we'll ever see is Kevin Spacey doing impressions of the hammed-up Gene Hackman version of Lex.

That just isn't good enough for a villain as badass as this guy...

Vast improvements to Lex's film version would be if they were to finally STOP giving him all that hammed-up dialogue, start making him into a REAL physical threat...battlesuit anyone? =D

Not to give anyone false hope here. But...I'm thinking Lex COULD POSSIBLY still be in the film.

IF Lex were not in the movie, Snyder would have by NOW at least debunked his very existence in the film. Of all the interviews he's done and characters he's revealed in the movie, NOT ONCE were we lead to believe that there'd be no Lex in this film.

They are so close to shooting the film, I just find it hard to believe that Snyder wouldn't officially debunk Lex by now. And I know Snyder doesn't wanna give away anything about the story but debunking Lex doesn't really give away the story or plot for the film. There have been many, many Superman stories NOT involving Lex Luthor so by Snyder simply saying "There is no Lex" it still doesn't give away the story of the film.

So I'm thinking Lex still has at least a shot at a part in this movie. It would probably be a small/minor role but i'd have no issue with that. A slight cameo would be sufficient enough just to at least acknowledge his existence within that universe.

But again like i said- Snyder has yet to completely debunk Lex. The closest he ever came to talking about Lex was when an interviewer asked him if MOS would be "Luthor-less" and Snyder simply laughed while saying "I can't answer that"

I don't know how to really interpret that.

@SupermanReturns2006- From your Lex Luthor choices I would go with Bruce Willis without a doubt. Love Willis and I think he could bring real dimension to the role of Lex Luthor if given the chance sadly Willis would totally outshine the relative newcomer Henry Cavill. So for Lex they gotta get someone lesser known perhaps. Maybe someone more around Cavill's age.

For Jimmy Olsen you forgot Anton Yelchin. He's the best choice for Jimmy in my opinion.

I HATE Shia Labeuf and Michael Cera. Zac Efron sounds like an interesting choice though, never thought of him as Jimmy.

@BaneKill- I don't blame you, Cera is a popular choice among fans. I don't know...I'm actually kinda hoping that IF Jimmy is in this, he won't be as dorky as in the previous stuff. I know that's his character in all the comics, cartoons and sort of the prior films. But if they made Jimmy a bit more modernized like the rest of the film's characters...imagine...a more 'sporty' Jimmy. I know it doesn't sound great but I don't know...Yelchin would work well for a more modernized take on Jimmy I think and he kinda fits better with Snyder from what I've seen. But yeah I get you on the Cera front just something about that guy bugs me. Can't put my finger on it.

Jesse Plemons could be a great modern take on jimmy.

Anton Yelchin is a good choice for Jimmy, but what about the Eisenberg kid from Social Network? prob. to small of a role for him though

personally IMO I would like to see Lex in the reboot portrayed more like Rosenbaum's Lex, cold blooded business tycoon, no more real estate ventures please!?!?!?
