A Spin Off Of Smallville In The Works?

At EW.com Michael Aussielo tells his readers that CW is looking for ways to keep the 'Smallville' franchise ongoing and a new spin off series might just be a reality!

With next season likely to be the show's last, there's rumors around Smallville about ways to extend the brand.

He doesn't divulge any other details. I reckon it could be the Green Arrow character that has been a bit of fresh air in the Superman saga and breathed new life into the season over the past few series! Also he'd be the best candidate to carry his own new show in Star City. Of course, they've been seeding the works with many interesting incarnations of DC Comics classics for awhile, so any one of them could be a green light too!



I personally think it is probably Green Arrow or even Justice! The female fans also like Justin Hartley so that's a bonus too. But if they do something, they should do it soon. Warner Brothers have had many chances and i think they have a nice list to go by =

Supergirl

Legion Of Superheroes

Martian Manhunter

Justice

and Green Arrow (of course)

Though Warner, how about a Outer Limits type show set in the Dc Universe? It will get all them lesser known characters out there for all to see. Like Ragman, and many other characters every week different stories its a must!

Also a L.E.G.I.O.N is begging to be made on the small screen, think NYPD Blue/BSG with superpowers! What do you guys think? There's alot out there.

I'd like to see a SMALLVILLE or two special later on, maybe!

great article LEE but i dont want a spin off if its gonna be as disappointing as most (but not quite all) of Smallville has been! ill be having nightmares about a Lana spin-off all night now..! AAAAHHHH!!!!

Well i think we all know ol' BATS will never be on any dc show, but its a shame because it wouldn't actually hurt the movies if say he did a young Bruce Wayne cameo on SMALLVILLE! Still that's why we got GREEN ARROW lol!

An WARNERS was gonna do a DEADMAN show or mini series, it went tits up like most things DC and MARVEL promise! Im still waiting for BROTHER VOODOO, MOON KNIGHT, SKRULL CREW, STARMAN, etc etc, that never happened! MARVEL is the worst, what have they done this decade um BLADE tv show, cancelled after 12 or so episodes an friggin; MUTANT X! Geezuz lol!

They should do a reality show spin off called Comic Con where they follow around the Smallville actors and show how spoiled some of them can be (or so I've heard after the Winnipeg con).

well its good teabag! smallville has the up and downs..this is the season where if they decide if they should go for one more! but it has to do with the ratings,viewers reviews. But hey its the writers also. they write like crap. and also when Al Gough, And the other dude was helming the show it was great! but now it had it ups and downs....

even though it would be great to end this murderous run of smallville they ahve been having. the cw already tried to do a spin off called mercy reef about aquaman, and justin hartley even played AC. thats how he got the part of olliver. if none of you saw the pilot it was filled with some good actors. ving raims was in it. it would been better than smallville. but a spin off show might just not work out. exspecialy if they ruin it liek they've been doing to smallville.

I agree with 10THTIGER there's probably no way they could "align to the DC mythos" it's pretty much impossible. I cant wait to see how they do it so I can laugh at how much it sucks. I usually like smallville but the last season/s just went downhill.
