Hahaha this is cool! I saw a Chris Reeve tribute waaaay before that was similar to this one. It just had him walking up some FOS stairs and looking up but this one had more.

He wasn't my favorite live-action Superman. But I certainly have respect for him as being the gold-standard when it comes to the Superman-brand. I am excited though to see what Cavill does with the role. It will make Reeve proud without Henry having to try to measure up to him.

Reeve said it himself- "Superman is bigger than any one actor"

And that is true.

Reeve will always be Superman, there is no doubt about that. Cavill will be a different Superman. In that sense I feel...Superman-fans can only benefit from seeing all these different interpretations of the character continue to live on and thrive through different actors.

I really wouldn't mind more of these CG Reeve tributes. They beat that new fan-film "Requiem" or whatever. ;P

Awesome. It could be a game. Developers need to make a Superman game that is as good as Arkham Asylum..

I was wondering why the soundtrack was so obnoxious. Then I realized it was the youtube ad playing on it's own next to the Superman video.

Don't get me wrong, Ed the video is a great tribute to Reves, but Mike Habjan's work is a little better:

Outstanding work, Ed. You capture Reeve's face even better than the other videos posted here.

And one moment gave me quite a chill.

For a few wonderful seconds,I was an 11 year old boy again watching Superman the Movie for the first time back in December of 1978. These days it's easy to forget how effortlessly Christopher Reeves was able to portray the decency, majesty and yes, humanity of Superman.Thank you Ed for reminding me of the magic Christopher Reeves brought to my heart so many years ago when he made a beloved hero come to life. Superman has and will continue to live on through other actors, but only Christopher Reeves truly made us believe a man could fly.

@blkyank- Dude it's pronounced REEVE...not Reeves.

Reeves is the other guy from the 1950's Superman show ;D

All good though, it's a common mix-up.

I got chills watching that. I never used to be a huge Reeve fan til I watched Superman 1 & 2 a few months ago and really got into them. They weren't perfect, but they're definitely classics.
Superman 3 & 4 however... well, the less said about them, the better.

Christopher Reeve - his portrayal of Kal-El/Clark Kent is what all future actors need to aspire to. His are big (red) boots to step into.

@ Captain Prog where you around in '78 to see Superman it was incredible to be a 6 year old kid watching and believing a man could fly loong before CGi and websites like this giving us up to date info on CBM'S, there was and remains nothing cheesy about it i dare say the best CBM ever made!

Superman 1 is probably THE best CBM of all time...nailed pretty much everything you need to for a comicbook character...great story, character development, great villain and love interest, nothing too over the top regarding action, gave it a great history with regards to story...just an amazing story

That was nicely done, but seemed to me like a one minute idea stretched out to five minutes. Sorry, but I have a short attention span when it comes to web videos. I completely skipped through the last two minutes of text.

Thank you Francesco Accattatis! Some of the shots are actually better than any of the FX in Superman 4. <-- the quest for budget.

I was 18 when Superman: The Movie was released, and I remember going with something like 10 or 15 people. We watched the film, were blown away by it, the credits rolled, we stood up to leave, looked at each other and sat down to watch it again. Just amazing, and Reeve... well not sure what I could add about his portrayal. Just wonderful. The helicopter rescue scene remains one of my favorite movie scenes ever -- Superman has Lois in one hand, the helicopter in the other, the John Williams theme is at full force, his cape is flapping in the wind and he's flying them all back to the roof.

And, Grif, no, this is a new video and the first time I've posted it.

From a Marvel& DC Fan-
that superman vs hulk....that Superman is moving Very SLOW!....In the presence of the Yellow sun Superman is infinite and can move faster than light speed! i don't think Hulk would even be able to literally touch Superman! so superman crashes into Hulk and his head hurts{what a joke}....lol

Hulk is still awesome, love my Marvel and DC!

GREAT TRIBUTE TO THE LEGEND- CHRISTOPHER REEVE!

While I feel the new movie needs a fresh score; the original theme should still be a part of it. That song is Superman much like the James Bond theme is part of what makes 007. They should save it for the end credits like how Casino Royale used the Bond theme.

That was GREAT, man.
Your 5 minutes was, IMO, better than Superman Returns. Nice work.
