Before he returns to the big screen in DC Studios' Superman: Legacy in 2025, a very different take on the Man of Steel will be the focus of a new 10-issue, self-contained DC Comics miniseries from the Eisner-Nominated team of writer Christopher Priest (Black Adam) and Artist Carlo Pagulayan (Deathstroke).

Superman: Lost, which has been described as the iconic hero's "Odyssey of Solitude," begins when Supes is called away on a routine Justice League mission, only for Lois Lane to discover a complete stranger standing in her living room shortly after.

"The Man of Steel, home much sooner than expected, reveals he has, in fact, been lost in space for 20 years. Nothing and no one seem familiar to him anymore, and the timeless bond between them has been severed...or has it? Can love conquer all?"

The first issue is set to hit shelves on March 14, and DC has now unveiled a stunning variant cover from legendary comic artist Joe Quesada.

“Superman: Lost has been several years in the making and it’s been incredibly difficult for me to keep quiet about this,” said Priest when the series was first announced. “I am absolutely delighted to be reunited with my Deathstroke team as we explore the emotional toll a tragic loss exacts. A man of steel, from an alien species, is ultimately the most human among us. And finding his way home is only the beginning.”

Is this more dynamite, or did you try to eat the eggos before they popped out of the toaster again?

This sounds like the kind of mumbo jumbo that a$$hat JJ Abrams would come up with.

But I have forgiven him for being the son of Satan who made that last sh!tty Star Wars trilogy. Sorta....

So how many members..(heh heh) of the Justice League plowed up the Lois Lane peace garden while Supes was chasing the smoke monster on Lost island?

That seems interesting. I do prefer when they give what if like futures in these superhero universes as being positive as opposed to a lot of the apocalypses they keep depicting. Like come on guys. Make it seem like our heroes are genuinely having a positive impact.

Personally I had an idea for a wolverine story, where most heroes ended up dying fighting off a powerful alien invasion and wolverine waking from a coma seeing the way superheroes made the world better through inspiration. Such as the iron men protecting the earth at large and the spider squad (trained by an aged Matt murdock) acting as a new police force.
