Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, "Thor," which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

HEY THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO SUCK. REGARDLESS OF HOW COOL THE PICTURE LOOKS I'M GOING TO SAY IT SUCKS, BECAUSE I AM A DC FANBOY AND I THINK ALL MARVEL MOVIES WILL SUCK REGARDLESS OF QUALITY. JUST BECAUSE ITS MARVEL I WILL REFUSE TO GIVE IT A CHANCE. LOL ALL THE HUMOR IS UNFUNNY AND PATHETIC. BLARGH. STUPID MARVEL THINKS ITS BETTER THAN DC? GREEN LANTERN WILL PWN.

See what I did there? I just parodied alot of the comments on Green Lantern stuff. It's kind of very annoying to constantly read all that misplaced negativity. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I couldn't help but notice massive hypocrisy in peoples opinions on this site. I'm looking forward to all the CBM's this year (Admiteddly, I'm looking forward to Thor the least. Epic character, but so far everything I've seen is unappealing-ish).

I mentioned hypocrisy earlier, so here are some examples:

- The same people who are complaining about the white gloves missing on the GL costume are the same people who conviently seem to ignore the fact they've compltely changed Thor's origin from Norse God to Alien.

- DC releases a picture of Ryan and Blake together, haters spew negativity towards it. But when Marvel releases almost the same picture, the very same haters praise this new picture.

- The people who've hated on The Green Lantern trailer (Obviously I am biased, as I can't help but praise the GL trailers amazing storm of awesomeness. Seriously. It delivers everything a fan wants. It delievers Hal Jordan PERFECTLY. His attitude, his career, his interests. We even see clips from origin scenes. And seriously: Oa looks great.) are the same people who have loved both (I feel they are very rushed, btw) Thor trailers. I'm going to admit that I think the Thor trailer looks awesome - at SOME points - but it is pretty flawed (again, my opinion).

- Haters say DC sucks at marketing and they are ashamed of the movie and that's why we haven't seen anything yet. I'd like to bring one thing to light: WHY HAVEN'T WE SEEN THOR WEARING HIS HELMET YET? HM. MAYBE IT SUCKS AND THEY ARE ASHAMED OF IT.

But yeah, that's my opinion. Cool pictures.

Yeah no matter how Captain America, Transformers, Green Lantern, or X-Men will do I have a feeling this will be the best CBM of the year, maybe as good as Spider-Man 2.

Oh, really? I was misinformed about that then. o_o My bad.

Ryan Reynolds isn't a miscast. He's great for this role. Hal is like a mix of everything Ryan has done in his career.

Yes.... Yes hopefully.

Eh, just a small bit of light. Like... like a flashlight's brother who is married to Rosie O'Donnel. That kind of light... possibly.

@ theawesome

like what "darkmatter" said, show me a decent trailer & i will change my opinion on the green latern.

but at the moment, its definetly not awesome.

blake lively comes across terrible in the trailer & ryan reynolds would of probably made a better flash then hal jordan.

I don't see why people love the Thor trailer and hate the Green Lantern trailer, they both were the same in quality in my opinion. Both had shirtless scenes, a look at the villain, epic music, lighthearted moments, etc. and let's not forget that GL debuted their trailer an entire month before the release of the Thor trailer, along with pictures, synopsis and website. . Both movies have released the same amount of material, GL just released theirs a little bit before Thor.

Plus, Green Lantern is debuting its second trailer in front on Sucker Punch. Where the hell is the Captain America trailer?

What are these boring pictures. Nothing new here from Thor. All he is doing is looking up and looking down. Next.

After that abysmal 2nd trailer with not so great CGI at the end and horrible camera work with the creature, this movie has me worried. How can it be in post production for 9 months and your CGI don't even look better than a 2 month into post production GL trailer? All it had was more action sequences in the trailer than GL. We know that action sequences in trailers does not equate to a awesome movie.

Actually, if you look at it from a 5-6 year old kid's point of view, that trailer would probably rock their world. Heh.
