"I will be shooting Bumblebee in the States and working on the music at the same time. So we will see how that all pans out," she says.

"But this movie is really something special. It has a great storyline and this character that I play, who you will soon meet, is really special. So I'm very excited for people to see it."

This doesn't make any sense in this universe unless she's playing a transformer. They didn t come to Earth until the 2000s. Unless there is a new time traveling element introduced in the new one. The Michael Bayisms continue to bog down this terrible franchise.

Reboot Reboot Reboot!!!

@RancidBane - Well Bumblebee was on Earth before the others. Perhaps he arrived on Earth in the 80's to do recon for the rest of the auotbots.

@BreakTheCode - I highly doubt he was here 20 years before hand. But who am I kidding if it is a Michael Bay universe it won't make sense. This is going to be terrible. And that makes me sad because the director made one of my favorite movies of last year in Kubo and the Two Strings. Poor dude is making a bad career move signing on to this trash bag of a film.

@RancidBane - Trailers for Transformers: The Last Knight revealed that Bumblebee was here since World War 2, so the movie being set in the 1980s makes sense, now that we have confirmation that Bee been here on Earth far longer than we thought.

@RancidBane - Also you never know, maybe Travis Knight can make a well received Transformers movie, look at Wonder Woman, so far the previous movies in the DCEU have been hated by fans and critics alike, but WW was not, so if there can be a good WW movie within a hated franchise, who says Travis Knight cant make a good Bumblebee movie within an hated franchise

@eagc1995 - I see your point. Don't get carried away with the fan reactions for the DCEU. Devisive is probably the more accurate word for fans. BvS 63% positive, MoS 75% positive, SS 62% positive and WW 92% positive. Not a fail at all in the eyes of fans. Critics are the haters on the DCEU not the fans. Sure there are a good chunk but not the whole.

@RancidBane - not really hate BvS the incomplete version in theaters was a mess

And SS was a garbage mess cause WB [frick]ed with both of those movies

@MarvelDCfan18 - not gonna argue that SS was a mess, but it was a fun mess. BvS ultimate cut is actually a good film. Not great by any means but good and serviceable nonetheless.

Unless I'm mistaken the Transformers didn't appear until the first movie. So I'm not sure how this will work. I guess it could take place on a different planet and NASA sent radio signals into space years ago and so that is why Bumblebee uses the radio to talk. We know sending radio signals into space will take years to get anywhere. So maybe it really doesn't take place in the 80s, but the Transformers will talk like that because they think humans still talk in that style.

@BlackIceJoe - Well trailers for Transformers: The Last Knight has revealed that Bumblebee has been on earth sicne World War 2, so with that it makes sense for the Bumblebee movie to be set in the 80s or even before it, now that we know that Bee has been here decades before the events of the first film took place.
