New BUMBLEBEE Still Puts The Spotlight On Hailee Steinfeld And The Fan-Favorite Bug

The Transformers franchise has become way too big and after the disappointing performance of The Last Knight, it's clear that moviegoers are becoming sick of the franchise. Now, the hope is to reignite the long-running series with a number of spinoffs, the first of which will be Bumblebee starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena. As you can see, we have a very cool image from that movie down below.

Talking about his plans for Bumblebee, director Travis Knight (Kubo And The Two Strings) tells Empire, "I wanted to approach this massive, expansive franchise and really focus in on a tiny corner of the canvas. Everything I've tried to do at Laika, searching for an artful blend of darkness and light, intensity and warmth, humour and heart, I wanted to bring to the Transformers franchise."

"At its
core it's just a beautiful love story between two broken souls who find each other and heal each other," he adds. "I grew up loving those classic Spielbergian Amblin films. And we're trying to evoke that kind of emotion in this movie, fusing a rich coming-of-age story with some sci-fi insanity." It sounds very different then and while this image doesn't reveal much, it is pretty intriguing!

@BlindWedjat - kinda weird how all michael bay produced films have the girls use so much makeup.

This is my most anticipated Transformers movie since... well, I guess I can say 'in history'. And I'm not particularly interested in it. But I like the director, I like Hailee Steinfeld, and the classic VW Beetle might be the coolest form any of the bots has ever taken in the movies. :)

@Kyos - yea i gave up with this franchise until the kubo and the 2 strings director stepped in. all his films are highly underrated

I swore after The Last Knight, that I was done with The Transformer movies until a reboot. But it is a different director, so I will hold judgement until I see a trailer and I'll wait to see what certain reviewers have to say.

How much money this movie is gonna make. The Last Knight made money but not as much as the first four and I've come to conclusion that anyone who hates these kinds of movies should just not spend your money on them. Don't see them in theaters, pirate them or just buy the Blu Rays used so the studio doesn't get any cash from it. Then they'll stop being made.

@MultiMedia996 - it will depend on the word of mouth, but considering the budget of this film wont be a high as the last film, there is a chance even if it makes lets say 500 million, it could be good for the film.

The director is talented as [frick] so this could be very good.

It could be what Trasnformers was supposed to be with Megan Fox being the lead and bonding with Bumblebee.

So far this reminds me of story in the origal Marvel Transformers comic when Skids (I think) fell in love with human... it was dumb then...

I am a fan of this franchise, but I was not a fan of the Last Knight or Age of Extinction. Definitely the weakest installments in the franchise. I am intrigued for this film, but I’m not setting high hopes because I did the same for the Last Knight and was extremely disappointed.

These bunch of movies nobody ask for man, that will kill the "blockbuster comic hero cartoon" movies.

Haven't spent one dime on these since the second pile of puke they made. Been happy with that decision so far.

I see The Last Jedi dropped 77% in the box office. Even though the schools are out.

Interesting news I feel (seen as every other article has been a Star Wars one this week).
