TRANSFORMERS 4 "Freightliner" Revealed; Is This Ultra Magnus?

Michael Bay has revealed another Transformers 4 vehicle via his official site, and we may just know which character this one is the disguise of! The Freightliner cab-over truck is quite possibly Optimus Prime's "brother", Ultra Magnus. Check out the pic after the jump..

Is this a sign that Ultra Magnus will feature in Transformers 4? Well, the truck above certainly resembles the character when in vehicle mode, and sports a similar paint job. Ultra Magnus (sometimes depicted as Optimus Prime's brother) is an Auotobot who first came about in the form of a repainted Optimus Prime toy back in 1986, and has since appeared in various incarnations of the comics and animated series. Of course we don't know for sure if this will be Magnus, as the only description given on the site is: "The adventure continues to transform with a very different offering from Daimler Trucks North America . . . the imposing 2014 Argosy cab-over truck by Freightliner." What do you think?

I always hated Ultra Magnus when I was a kid. When I rented the movie for the first time, I loved every second of Optimus being on the screen, then he died and this pussy version of his took his place.

I got over it, of course. :P But he's still tainted from that first look at him.

@unknownfacts - you are correct, sir! That truck look nothing like Magnus except for the fact that its a truck. The color scheme matches Motormaster perfectly...

I liked Ultra Magnus, but they had better not kill Prime AGAIN!

Magnus wasnt that good in 80's TF movie i thouht springer came accross as a better leader but if you watch the original series you see that he was realy good and would probably made a good leader

still not giving my monnies to watch these watered down TF films they are that bad

This would only be followed up by an even bigger gasp later on: "Oh s***! What are we gonna do now?"

@sameoldthing I think the practical reason for making Prime a front-engine rig was that it allowed him to be bigger. The cab-over-engine design didn't have enough room.

How and why do Transformers have female's? Why the hell would gender matter to a constructed robot, sentient or otherwise?

More robots hitting each other please and less worry about the stupid toy concept, it was silly to begin with but made for good spectacle. Anyone taking this too seriously and still doing that hate Michael Bay shit really has lost their marbles over nonsense. These films and the silly cartoon were just made for fun, it will never be serious scifi with origins like this.

Can't lie. This looks pretty cool. All Michael bay has to dois stay true to the series. But we all know he cant do that for some stupid reason only he knows. But we all can't deny that the special effects and slowmo scenes is the best part of this franchise!!! It takes a lot of imagination to take vehicles and find ways to incorporate that in a robot form and still keep pretty accurate details of the car noticeable as a robot. Let's all call it how we see it. Michael bay can make some badass fight scenes BUT HE SUCKS AT PLEASING THE DIE HARD FANS WITH WHAT THEY WANT!!! at least we might be getting the dino bots
