It was earlier reported that "Transformers 3" was to be released in July 2011, then this, straight up, from Michael Bay:
"Wait a minute! I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating "Transformers 3" - they asked me on the phone - I said yes to July 4 - but for 2012 - whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots."
Over the space of time Michael Bay repeatedly said "Transformers 3" would be released in July of 2012 and that the acclaimed director wanted to film a low budget film called "Pain & Gain" in between the Transformers sequels.
This from Worstpreviews.com:
"Now on his own web site, Bay has revealed that he will be meeting with Steven Spielberg and writer Ehren Kruger later this week to discuss ideas for the third installment. By the end of the week he should know whether the new movie will appear during the summer of 2011 or 2012."
With this type of news I bet Michael Bay is screaming "This town (Hollywood)needs an ENEMA!!" If Paramount squeezes Michael Bay into delaying "Pain & Gain" then hopefully we only have to wait till 2011 and not 2012 to see what level of whoop ass Optimus Prime puts on Megatron.
