As Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' release date draws nearer, marketing will soon kick-up a few notches, and Paramount Pictures has now debuted a new poster for the latest instalment in the block-busting giant robot franchise.

This banner gives us a first look at every major Autobot and Maximal character together, including the legendary Optimus Prime and his gorilla-like counterpart, Optimus Primal.

Though the movies do have their share of defenders, it's probably fair to say that the Transformers franchise wasn't exactly the most well-regarded - at least, not prior to the release of Bumblebee.

The 2018 adventure received positive reviews and served as a relaunch of sorts, even though it didn't particularly contradict anything that happened in the previous instalments.

With director Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II; The Land) on board, Paramount will be hoping Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be able to continue down that path of success (not that the previous movies ever flopped at the box office).

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

Steven Caple Jr. directs, and the sequel stars Peter Cullen, Ron Perlman, Pete Davidson, Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Tobe Nwigwe, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Yeoh, Liza Koshy, John DiMaggio, David Sobolov, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, and Cristo Fernández.

Rise of the Beasts arrives in theatres June 9, 2023.

Crazy to think we're already on movie number 7 in only 15 years.

Bumblebee was decent, maybe i'll check this one out as Bay's no longer directing. TF1 still holds up pretty good though, outside of all the human stuff.

@dragon316 - Eh i loved the 1st one when it came out. So much so i booked to see the second one in IMAX front row. I fully regret that decision. The head ache i had after that lasted for 2 days. Third one was alright but it lost all the magic. Bumblebee seemed to have some sort of a spark (pun intented) so i'm hopeful for this one.

@BritishMonkey - unless they get over the need to have human focus in every movie probably wont happen (or they set it in present day)

We are supposed to be getting some sort of animated Cybertron-based movie in 2024 - unsure if CGI animated or not. I'd expect it to probably leech off Spiderverse style similar to how the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is.

As for teasers, best bet is Unicron is mentioned or teased. Post-credit of Beast Wars Megatron to tease a sequel focusing more around the Predacons. Probably a flashback showing Megatron on Cybertron also to emphasize it's not just continuing the Bayverse.

@dracula - I kinda feel like they have to do T-Rex Megatron. He’s as iconic as Optimus Primal.

Speaking of Beast Wars, really if Peter and Frank ever call it quits, David Kaye would be a perfect replacement for both
