Michael Bay's Transformers movies aren't exactly universally loved, but there were some great characters who brought a lot to the franchise. Among them was Josh Duhamel's Colonel William Lennox, a fan-favourite addition who returned in the fifth instalment due to popular demand.
Now, the franchise is heading down a slightly different route, but that doesn't mean some familiar faces couldn't one day return. Talking to us about his role in Night of the Animated Dead, Duhamel opened up on the possibility of potentially heading back to that world of Autobots and Decepticons.
"Oh, I don’t know. I don’t see that happening any time soon," the actor admitted. "I feel like it’s run its course but, you know, I thought I was done after [Transformers: Dark of the Moon] and they brought me back for [Transformers: The Last Knight], so...I’d be happy to do it."
"Those movies changed the course of my career and if something good came along, I’d be happy to do it," Duhamel concluded, leaving the door open to playing Lennox again one day.
The heroic Colonel managed to make it out of Transformers: The Last Knight very much alive, so a cameo appearance can't be off the table, especially if the franchise returns to the present day at some point. Only time will tell on that front, of course, but it's good to know the actor is open to the idea.
