Hey guys, Wadey here with another scoop for Michael Bay final installment in his Transformers trilogy. Ever hear of Takara Tomy Co., Ltd.? They are a Japanese toy and game company primarily responsible for the creation of what we know as, The Transformers.
And over at the TFW2005, on one of their Message Boards, is a list of major figures that Takara Tomy is going to be releasing in Japan. Here is a partial listing from that page:
DA-01 Bumblebee Leader
DA-02 Sentinel Prime Leader
DA-03 Optimus Prime (with trailer) Voyager
DA-04 Ironhide Voyager
DA-13 Military Helicopter Voyager
DA-05 Bumblebee Deluxe
DA-06 Autobot Ratchet Deluxe
DA-07 Autobot Skids Deluxe
DA-08 Sideswipe Deluxe
DA-09 Rodobuster Deluxe
DA-10 Sponsored Car # 2 (Wrecker) Deluxe
DA-11 Arcee Deluxe
DA-12 Air Ride Deluxe
DA-14 Jolt Deluxe
DD-01 Megatron Voyager
DD-02 Starscream Deluxe
DD-03 Barricade Deluxe
DD-04 Crank Case Deluxe
DD-05 New Villain Voyager
This partial list, although it hasn't been authenticated as of yet, at the very least confirms Sentinel Prime's involvement in the film. And I find it of great interest that only Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime are getting the Leader treatment. Although, if you look to the right side of the designated class, you'll notice a "+" sign. Perhaps this means that they will get an upgrade that has not been announced yet.
And I'm just going to go ahead and assume (hate that word!) that the "New Villain" is Shockwave.
At this juncture, take this as a rumor, while we're waiting for confirmation from Takara Tomy. Either way, Transformers: Dark of the Moon lands on July 1, 2011 in America. Will it be worth the wait?
