Team Z is back!

After nearly a year off, iZombie returns in just three weeks for a third season that's expected to be bigger than the previous two combined as Liv and her team prepare for a potential zombie war in Seattle.

The preview starts out with the team promising not to keep secrets from one another anymore after the events of last season and also features the return of Andrea Savage's Vivian Stoll, who gives Liv a pretty ominous warning about humanity's future.

Check out the promo for the season premiere, titled "Heaven Just Got A Little Bit Smoother," below:

YOUR FAVORITE ZOM-COM-ROM-DRAM IS BACK FOR SEASON 3 — Liv (Rose McIver) has discovered there are more zombies living in Seattle than she previously believed. In fact, there’s a private military contractor employing a small zombie army, and that army is preparing for the day humans learn of their existence. Major (Robert Buckley) was exonerated for the crimes of the Chaos Killer, but is still considered a pariah. He manages to land a job with the one and only place that will hire him. Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) is accused of lying. Malcolm Goodwin and Rahul Kohli also star. Dan Etheridge directed the episode written by Rob Thomas (IZ301). Original airdate 4/4/2017.

iZOMBIE continues with more brainy adventures! From the executive producers of Veronica Mars, the series stars Rose McIver (Power Rangers R.P.M.) as Olivia “Liv” Moore, a medical resident on the fast track to a perfect life … until she’s turned into a zombie. But Liv finds her calling — and an endless supply of food — working at the Seattle coroner’s office, helping to solve crimes with her “visions.” As season two begins, Liv’s ex-fiancé and love, Major, is reeling from recent events and the knowledge that Liv is a zombie. Meanwhile, Blaine — now human — struggles to maintain his zombie world; Clive searches for Blaine and suspects Major’s involvement in the Meat Cute massacre; and Ravi is bent on finding the tainted Utopium. So power up with your favorite brain food and prepare for more fun and thrills!

iZombie features:
Rose McIver as Olivia "Liv" Moore
Malcolm Goodwin as Clive
Babinaux
Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti
Robert Buckley as Major Lilywhite
David Anders as Blaine DeBeers
Aly Michalka as Peyton Charles
Andrea Savage as Vivian Stoll
Jason Dohring as Chase Graves

Probably my favourite CBTV besides SHIELD, so glad it's returning! :)

This and SHIELD are my favorites. That said, dayum ! They are picking up within minutes of the S2 finale and it appears they are starting with a bang. TBH I was looking for them to talk/lie their way out of the massacre and instead it looks like Vivian is going to blow the place up. That's a real expensive step for her since an insurance payout is problematic at best.

OTOH blowing it all up accomplishes a lot;

1) The bodies of the romero's are going to be crisped. Almost all of the exidence will be destroyed.
2) Max Rager's records will largely be destroyed. Probably the new drink formula
will be lost.
3) It looks like they will try to sneak the Chaos victims out. I have to wonder how they are going to deal with all of the first responders that Clive has called in.

It's going to be a blast.
