The newest episode of Lucifer, which is titled, Quintessential Deckerstar, managed to single-handedly save the entire season 3 from mediocrity. Not everyone wants to admit it, but season 3 of Lucifer is the weakest, and the Cain plot is very weak.
However, with just a single episode to go, the writers got up and decided that something needed to be changed, and with that, we were given Quintessential Deckerstar.
Why is Lucifer: Quintessential Deckerstar a must watch
I’m not going to go too much into the realm of spoilers here, but I will say I’m glad that Lucifer has finally decided to do away with his childish ways and reveal his feelings for Chloe. It was clear what she had with Caine wasn’t real, and she was waiting for Lucifer to make a move.
As for Caine, he no longer wants to die, but instead, he wants to be with Chloe. Out of jealousy, he’s prepared to kill again to get what he wants, and that’s exactly what he did. Unfortunately, he missed his target and killed the wrong person.
To some, this character is beloved, but to others, he or she should have gone away a long time ago. But whatever the case may be, this character has served a purpose and did so wonderfully. But let’s hope this is the last time we’ll see this particular person again.
What about Charlotte Richards, you ask?
This was an important episode for her. It began with her having terrible dreams of the criminals she aided in the past, but at the same time, she has something great going on with Dan, and a good friendship with Amenadiel.
She also gave Amenadiel an idea of why he lost his wings and how we could regain them. Maybe it has nothing to do with his father, but likely, it’s his own doing.
The ending of this episode is leading up nicely to the finale, which will see the team make a big move again Caine. At this point, he knows he’s a dead man because Chloe finally sees through his lies.
However, it would seem as if he wants to take Lucifer with him, a task that could prove challenging for the world’s first murderer.
