Netflix has released one last batch of character posters for the sixth season of Lucifer, which really seems to want fans to know that when the series returns to Netflix on September 10, it will indeed be for its final - final - season. No chance of resurrection this time.
Along with series lead Tom Ellis (Lucifer Morningstar), the principal cast of Lauren German (Det. Chloe Decker), Kevin Alejandro (Det. Dan Espinoza), D.B. Woodside (Amenadiel), Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen), Scarlett Estevez (Trixie Espinoza), Rachael Harris (Dr. Linda Martin), and Aimee Garcia (Ella Lopez) will also return.
Inbar Lavi (Eve) and Tricia Helfer (Goddess) will also appear in the sixth and final season, alongside series newcomers Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights; Speed Racer), Merrin Dungey (Brooklyn Nine-Nine; Alias), and Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool; Deadpool 2) in recurring roles.
Series regular Kevin Alejandro directed two episodes this season - including the premiere and the show's penultimate hour - while D.B. Woodside helmed episode eight.
The final season's plot has been mostly kept under wraps, but based on the recently released trailer, the ten-episode swan song will follow Luci as he adjusts to his new role as God. We will also see him run into some trouble with his younger sister (Hildebrand), who seeks to emulate his own rebellion.
