AQUAMAN Director James Wan Might Not Helm The SWAMP THING Pilot After All
Despite hearing the opposite a few days ago, a new report claims Aquaman director James Wan will not co-direct the Swamp Thing pilot episode for the highly anticipated DC Universe streaming service...
A few days ago, a report from That Hashtag Show claimed James Wan (Aquaman) would co-direct the pilot for the live-action Swamp Thing series alongside Deran Sarafian (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). However, a new report has surfaced, and it suggests this won't be the case.
According to Bloody-Disgusting, “James Wan will unequivocally NOT be directing Swamp Thing,” though they don’t address whether Sarafian is still involved with the pilot episode.
While this news - if accurate - will surely disappoint some, James Wan will still be serving as a producer on the DC Universe show. In fact, the site stresses Wan’s role calling him “a full-fledge creative producer,” who will help develop everything from the show’s visual style to its characters and story.
