We're not exactly sure about the status of the planned Justice League Dark/Dark Universe live-action movie. Last we heard it was still on Warner Bros.' radar, but plenty could have changed since then.

Back when all systems were go on the project and Guillermo del Toro was (presumably) still at the helm, music video director Joseph Khan (who also helmed the Power Ranger short film) pitched them on his design for Swamp Thing, and he's uploaded 8 seconds of test footage which you can see below.

Even if Dark Universe does eventually get up and running, chances are Swamp Thing would look quite a bit different, but this is still a pretty cool design for the Earth Elemental.

@Kman - Swamp Thing is a character that will always work with practical effects. No CGI needed on that character.

I can't believe this is the guy who did that sh*tty Power Rangers short film. But anyhow, when the hell are we going to get a *good* Swamp Thing adaptation? The television series was great but it's now so dated...

@Parker00 - I can't believe this guy plays on Linkin Park.

Not bad but GDT's design would have been SICK.

@Nightmare - I agree, Swamp Thing would look so realistic within GDT's hands. Hellboy was beautifully handled with it's visuals.

Mannn can we please Deadpool this sucka so we can see this film finally come to frution. Like there's a script and everything that's already been made and yet we have to wait so long because of stuff like Pacific Rim 2 😫😫😫

I think JL: Dark is being tested out in animation form first before it gets the greenlight. WB is seeing how audiences respond to it. I maintain that they did the same thing by releasing Escape from Arkham.
