We've yet to see any official footage from the DC Universe's live-action Swamp Thing series, but thanks to director Len Wiseman (Underworld), who will be helming the show's pilot episode, we have a behind-the-scenes image and video.
The image shared by Wisemen doesn't reveal much about the upcoming show, but it does provide us with a new look at Crystal Reed (Gotham) as Abigail Arcane and Andy Bean (Power) as Alec Holland.
As for the behind-the-scenes video, it also doesn't reveal any significant details about the series, but we do get an early glimpse of what we can assume is the swamp that will act as the titular creature's home.
Along with Reed and Bean, the cast of Swamp Thing includes Jennifer Beals, Will Patton, and Ian Ziering. Writers Mark Verheiden (Battlestar Galactica) and Gary Dauberman (It) will act as showrunners, and Aquaman director James Wan will serve as an Executive Producer.
"Smart and caring, CDC Doctor Abby Arcane's strong sense of empathy puts her at the center of a horrific life-threatening epidemic in her hometown, where she faces emotional demons from her past... while a chance meeting with scientist Alec Holland takes her into a world of horror and the supernatural, and of the elemental creature known as Swamp Thing."
Swamp Thing is expected to debut on the DC Universe in 2019.
