Y: THE LAST MAN Will Begin Streaming The First Three Episodes On Disney+ In The U.K. Next Month

Brian K. Vaughan has crafted many unique and compelling comic book stories over the past few decades. His popular works include Saga, Paper Girls, Pride of Baghdad, Ex Machina, We Stand on Guard, and Marvel's Runaways. Still, Y: The Last Man really began to gain Vaughan a following when he kicked off the series in 2002.

A complicated story about a virus that kills every mammal with a Y chromosome except for one (well, two if you count Ampersand), the tale is finally receiving a live-action adaptation 20 years later. With every episode helmed by women and a cast comprised of mostly females, the project has certainly gained controversial attention before the premiere even drops.

FX kicks off Y: The Last Man on September 13th, and they've been releasing promotional trailers and teasers in recent weeks. It has now been announced that fans in the U.K. will be able to begin streaming the first three episodes of the series just a week later on September 22nd via Star on Disney+.

Will you be checking Y: The Last Man out on FX on Hulu or Star on Disney+? Be sure to check out the trailer, synopsis, and release info below, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the usual spot!

Only one remained... The question is Y.

Based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, Y: The Last Man traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and the opportunity to build something better.

Y: The Last Man premieres on September 13, streaming exclusively on FX on Hulu, with the U.K. Disney+ release on September 22.

@Cap1 - kinda assume it's for most international places that do have Star, but no FX or Hulu. Otherwise I would have to find alternatives too

Saga would be a better adaption, it's great,it does have some box ticking moments but it doesn't come across as forced or done for the sake of it,like I've put this in for a pat on the back.

Everything about that series seems more balanced, its got a bit of everything for everyone.

@LiteraryJoe - I have only read it trades but probably the best way to read it,you know five or six issues at a time. I have no idea when he'll finish the book.

@kazuma - I think it would cost a lot of money to make, you'd need a top class cast of actors and actresses. The CGI would cost a ton and it would probably work best as a TV show.

@marvel72 - Yeah, I have the trades and the hardcovers so far released.
