YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS To Debut First Look At SDCC

As rumors continue to swirl that the DC Universe streaming platform could launch as soon as August, the first look at Young Justice: Outsiders will be unveiled at SDCC. Will the first episode be screened?

Marvel Studios might be skipping SDCC this year but DC Entertainment is definitely bringing the heat. Fresh and exciting looks at Aquaman, Wonder Woman 1984 and Shazam! are planned and it seems DC Entertainment will also be pulling the lid back on its ambitious new streaming platform, DC Universe.

A panel for the revival of Young Justice will take place on July 20 at 10AM PST in Room 6DE of the main SDCC convention area. On hand, will be showrunners Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti, along with cast members Troy Baker and Stephanie Lemelin.

A fan Q&A session is also set to follow the panel but an hour seems like plenty of time to screen a commercial-free sneak peak at the first episode.  After all, Young Justice returned thanks to the vocal cry of its determined fanbase, so a reward of sorts would certainly be in order.

Be sure to keep it locked to CBM in the coming weeks for all the SDCC madness. Young Justice: Outsiders will be one of many shows and films that receive thorough coverage.

The YJ fandom fought for 4 and a half years and their prayers were answered a year ago with this. Patience and perseverance does pay off sometimes.

Glad Netflix has the first 2 Seasons so I can binge watch.

@NinnesMBC - was kinda annoyed Netflix helped it so much but it ended up not going to them but makes sense when starting your own streaming service.

@NinnesMBC - Last year (or so) I bought the two seasons on Blu-Ray, and was so worth the purchase. I'm hoping season three will get the same treatment.

I can't wait to see what new characters will be introduced in the next season. I'd like to see what Greg could do with the Wonder Twins, Bloodwynd and Jakeem Thunder.

Seeing as Static, Icon and Rocket has been shown maybe another character from the Milestone comics days could be shown too like Buck Wild or Xombi.

I also would like to see how Gen 13 would interact with Young Justice. Hopefully the third season will only lead to more coming next. Plus maybe season two of Green Lantern: The Animated Series too.

@blitzburgh - very awesome and very underrated. Only thing that would've made it better would be the same art style as Young Justice but the story, acting, and script was perfect.

I feel like YJ is the last great Comic Book animation. We just don't get shows like BTAS, JLU or Spectacular Spider-Man anymore. I think YJ remains the last great animated show from a golden era of comic book cartoons.

Nice! I hope I'm actually able to attend that panel at Comic-Con. I'd stand in line for a bit to see that one. Glad it's in one of the smaller(ish) halls.
