X-FILES: David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson Return As 'Mulder' & 'Scully'
Shooting for the X-Files revival show began today in Vancouver Canada, with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson on set in costume as their characters, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.
David Duchovny (54) and Gillian Anderson (46) were snapped filming a scene for the X-Files revival series today in Vancouver Canada. Said scene involved Mulder exiting a vehicle and planting a kiss on his former partner's cheek. Community's Joel Mchale was also on hand in a very classic Mulder-looking suit. Plot info is still under wraps, but now that filming has commenced perhaps we'll get a few details.
“I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” said series creator Chris Carter. “The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.” “We had the privilege of working with Chris on all nine seasons of The X-Files – one of the most rewarding creative experiences of our careers – and we couldn’t be more excited to explore that incredible world with him again,” added Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group. “The X-Files was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the network, it was a worldwide phenomenon that shaped pop culture – yet remained a true gem for the legions of fans who embraced it from the beginning. Few shows on television have drawn such dedicated fans as The X-Files, and we’re ecstatic to give them the next thrilling chapter of Mulder and Scully they’ve been waiting for.”
The X-Files originally ran from 1993-2002, and would have to be considered one of the most popular TV shows of all time. No word yet on when these six new episodes will air, but we'll keep you posted.
