It probably came as a surprise to no one that HBO's
Game of Thrones were nominated for '
Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series' when the SAG Awards were announced yesterday morning. The series has been nominated in this category three times previously and has continued to garner amazing reviews over its fifth season ultimately earning it another nomination. Furthermore, Peter Dinklage also earned himself and the series, even more, glory as he was nominated in the category of '
Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series' for his role as Tyrion Lannister.
Moreover, Marvel and Netflix's
Daredevil earned itself a nomination for '
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series'. That seems well-earned considering the many fantastic action sequences throughout the much-acclaimed series.
Daredevil was joined by
Game of Thrones and
The Walking Dead among others in this category.
Lastly,
Jurassic World was nominated for '
Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture', alongside
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,
Mad Max: Fury Road,
Furious 7 and
Everest.
The award ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium on January 30, 2016, and will air live on TNT and TBS.
