GAME OF THRONES And MR. ROBOT Lead The Charge In This Year's Primetime Emmy Nominations

The full list of nominees for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards is finally here, and while Game of Thrones is way out in front, plenty of comic book movie stars are getting some love for their TV projects.

Game of Thrones has scored an amazing 23 nominations for this year's Emmys, putting the HBO drama (which arguably just had its best season yet) way out in front. However, Mr. Robot - a series many worried would end up being snubbed - has also done pretty well, even if Christian Slater being snubbed after his win at the Golden Globes feels like something of a travesty. Rami Malek has at least been nominated though, and while he faces some stiff competition, it would be great to see him nab this.

The likes of Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, and Kirsten Dunst (know for their roles in the Thor and Spider-Man franchises respectively) have done pretty well too thanks to non-CBM projects like Luther, The Night Manager, and Fargo, so there are plenty of people for fans to root for here. Sadly, even in the full list of nominees, the only comic book TV show which seems to has been recognised is Gotham for, "Outstanding Cinematography." Even The Walking Dead has been snubbed for the most part.
