GAME OF THRONES' Gwendoline Christie Replacing Lily Rabe In Final HUNGER GAMES
Rabe was cast as District 13 leader Commander Lyme, but after being forced to drop out due to a scheduling conflict she's been replaced by Christie, who plays highly skilled warrior Brienne in HBO's Game Of Thrones. More after the jump.
According to Deadline, American Horror Story actress Lilly Rabe has been replaced in the role of Commander Lyme by none other than Brienne of Tarth, Gwendoline Christie. Rabe had to drop out because of a previous commitment to Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare in the Park. Commander Lyme is one of the tough-as-nails leaders of District 13, and will appear in the final Hunger Games movie, "Mockingjay Part 2". The role should be right up Christie's alley as she plays the tough-as-nails warrior Brienne in the HBO series, which will return for its fourth season in just two days.
