Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the 'Game of Thrones.'

Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Ser Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as Queen Cersei Lannister, Emilia Clarke as Queen Daenerys Targaryen, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Aidan Gillen as Lord Petyr Baelish, Charles Dance as Lord Tywin Lannister, Natalie Dormer as Lady Margaery Tyrell, Liam Cunningham as Ser Davos Seaworth, Stephen Dillane as King Stannis Baratheon, Carice van Houten as Lady Melisandre, Alfie Allen as Prince Theon Greyjoy, John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, Jack Gleeson as King Joffrey Baratheon, Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark, Sophie Turner as Lady Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Lady Arya Stark, Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth and Jerome Flynn as Ser Bronn.

Wasn't a big fan of the skeleton wights, but I have to admit, they looked incredible. We've come a long way from Pirates of the Caribbean.

True Detective was awesome. It deserved awards....but going up against Breaking Bad? That's an unfair fight.

The CGI with the direwolf attacking the wight seemed a bit off to me when I watched it.

GREAT SHOW. I am glad that shows are stepping up their game on the VFX side.

I'm right in the middle of watching Breaking Bad for the first time (just finished season 3!), and I can EASILY see why it's getting heaped with awards. This is definitely the best television show I've ever seen, no exaggeration whatsoever. If True Detective is anywhere near the quality of Breaking Bad, I just might have to put that next on my must-watch list.

Yeah, I bing watched Breaking Bad, amazing show, I felt so emotional spent by the end (of course, the bing watch amplified that)...I was sad to see it end...True Detective is great too, get Alexandra Daddario naked, what else ya want?

The last book in A song of ice and fire needs to be a movie trilogy.
