GAME OF THRONES Season 7 Full Trailer Ignites The Epic War Of Ice And Fire To Come

Following yesterday's Night King teaser poster, HBO has finally released our first proper look at the upcoming seventh season of Game of Thrones. See some jaw-dropping new footage after the jump...

Yesterday's chilling Night King poster was clearly heralding a brand new Game of Thrones trailer, as HBO has just debuted our first full-length look at the penultimate season of the epic fantasy drama series.

The new footage kicks of with Cersei acknowledging the fact that her throne is dangerously close to being taken from her by enemies from all corners of Westeros - however, if Dany, Jon, Littlefinger or anyone else hopes to put some kind of plan in motion, they're going to have to deal with their own set of problems much closer to home.

The teaser goes on to feature intriguing glimpses of both new and returning characters (hello Melisandre), before concluding with a shot of one of the now ginormous dragons.

Check out the trailer below, and be sure to sound off in the usual place.

@DarthGrizzly - You're missing out! I haven't read the books so my opinion is soley of the show but it is easily in my top 3 favorite shows. Worth Watching.

@GreenAerrow - I've read the books and I still love the show. Not one of those book purest kind so I enjoy both.

@Supafairy - I can always be fine with adaptations and such but I try and watch the adaptations before the books, because when reading a book your imagination fills in everything into how YOU think it should be. It's harder to find a TV or movie adaptation that is exactly how you imagined things, thus somewhat disappointing usually. Biggest examples for me were the Aragon book series and the failed movie(s) and the I am number Four books and that train wreck of a movie adaptation. I waited to read all the Harry potter Books after I saw all the movies and I love both now. So if you hear good things about a book, try and find out if its being adapted and wait until then I think.

@JustAChillFan - Absolutely. This was my approach, lol, mainly because I only found out about the books AFTER watching the shows/movies. Except for Twilight. I liked the books but hated the movies for that reason. I had my Edward and Bella and what not in mind so the casting was disappointing (except for Alice and Emmett) and the movies did not do the book justice.

@DarthGrizzly - It gets a little castration happy in the 3rd season.

In all honesty it's hampered by too many characters. The growth is 5 to 10 minutes per episode and that drags the momentum.
Wait until it's over, easier that way.

@Supafairy - Its the worst when the people they cast are nothing like you imagined.

@fadersdream - Yeah, I think like a year ago I tried to watch the first episode but I got so bored. Like my family watches it, and im the only one who cba to watch it. But waiting until its ended to watch it sounds like a good idea.

@fadersdream - Books are much better. If you can detach from that to just enjoy the show, the first few seasons were great, then it's gotten worse each new season. We'll see if it can recover this season since they broke away from the books and are telling their own stories now.

@DarthGrizzly - You should watch it - the show is fantastic. Season 6 was the strongest yet, but this trailer look amazing.
