We're used to Game of Thrones taking us to some seriously twisted places, and thus far, House of the Dragon is doing the same thing. That was evident from this past Sunday's fourth episode as it saw Rhaenyra and Daemon Targaryen pay a visit to a pleasure house where they got...close

After a night exploring Dragonstone, Rhaenyra gave in to her baser instincts and started making out with her uncle. Seeing as the Targaryens are all about keeping their bloodline "pure," a little incest isn't exactly a shocker, though it was surprisingly Daemon who realised what they were doing was wrong.

Taking his leave before anything further could happen (that's one way of looking at it, anyway; the show definitely leaves some ambiguity when it comes to how far they actually went), a frustrated Rhaenyra ended up seducing Ser Criston Cole, a member of King Viserys's Kingsguard.

While she manages to keep their tryst a secret, Otto Hightower (the Hand of the King), reveals to Viserys that his daughter and brother were seen "coupling" in the pleasure house, promting the King to send Westeros' version of the morning-after pill her way. That came in the form of some tea, and fans have had plenty to say about this development on social media.

We don't know if Rhaenyra drinks that concoction - or even if she's pregnant - but Daemon has asked for Rhaenyra's hand in marriage, suggesting things will only get messier - and more messed up - from here.

"Wed her to me. When I offered up my crown, you said I could have anything," Daemon told Viserys. "I want Rhaenyra. I'll take her as she is, and wed her in the tradition of our house. Give me Rhaenyra to take to wife and we will return the House of the Dragon to its proper glory."

Also, Daemon doesn't stop because he realizes what he's doing was wrong, he stopped because he couldn't "perform".

@thewanderer - I thought she shoved him away? So she was into and he couldn't get up

@McMurdo - yea the consensus I've seen is he couldn't get it up (and I think that happens later in the Brothel as well).

She was definitely into it, and it's not like he had a crisis of conscious because the next day he's trying to marry her.

Show runners seem to implied that his impotency did not allow him to actually sleep with her but that impotency was caused by him knowing it was wrong so probably both

@IcePyke - LoL, was watching Clash of the Gods (2009) recently and damn! Zeus sure as hell likes to bang anything and everything in any size, shape or form he can turn into 😆

Just wondering how much of THAT side of Zeus will Marvel have the balls to show in MCU 😉😉

This is the IMDB link of the series if anyone is into ancient Greek mythology stories, and many Marvel Comics characters and their powers are based on that myth anyway. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1484577/

Welcome to a world where an episode of a show can be controversial for the same sh!t it's always been known for.

Incest was a very common overarching theme in the original GOT.

Daenerys and her brother had an incestuous relationship.
Cersei and Jamie had an incestuous relationship which was a major plot line in the series.

That's just the difference between 2011 and 2022.

It's just a show.

Why are people still bothered by this? Haven't they seen Game Of Thrones.

Wasn't this a common theme in GOT and most porn sites?

That’s not what made me recently lose interest in this show. I’m disappointed that they’re gonna do another time jump and recast both Milly Alcock and Emily Carey with older actresses instead of using modern techniques to age them.
