Michiel Huisman Replaces Ed Skrein As Daario Naharis In GAME OF THRONES Season Four

We learned yesterday that Huisman was joining the show in an unspecific role, but today THR reports who exactly the "World War Z" actor will be playing, and is surely a pretty weird surprise. More after the jump.

Yesterday, it was revealed that actor Michiel Huisman ("World War Z") was joining the cast of Game Of Thrones fourth season in an unspecific role. Today, thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we have the information that the actor will be replacing Ed Skrein and play Daario Naharis, who in season three had a lot of spotlight. A very strange decision from HBO for sure, to replace an actor who was already pretty good established in the role. What are your thoughts on this? Sound off in the usual place.

Game Of Thrones season four is currently filming and is expected to air early next year. Other new cast additions include Joseph Gatt ("Thor"), Roger Ashton-Griffiths ("Summer in February"), Pedro Pascal ("Graceland") and others.

Interesting. Wonder whether Skrein asked to leave or if the showrunners were unhappy with is performance?

Maybe theprevious actor playing the role couldn't commit to the series for so many years...I guess he was in just 3 episodes so it's not like he was that much in it.

It is a shame when a recast happens.

Wondering why it has happened though as I thought he was pretty good as Daario, maybe it was because he didn't want to have a blue beard and gold moustache.

Oh dear.... someone (or their agent) asked for too much money and it backfired! (I'm guessing).
