UPDATE: GAME OF THRONES Season 4: Stark Family Posters & Teaser

You can see the Lannisters below, now IGN have debuted the Stark character posters. The poor Starks have been through the mill thus far (which is why we're a few posters shy this year) but Arya, Bran, Sansa and Jon Snow are still kicking. UPDATED with Dany, Jorah and a new teaser.

"In the wake of the Red Wedding, how does the North pick up the pieces and with their greatest enemy seemingly crushed, where does that leave the Lannisters. Daenerys Targaryen now has an army but is she ready to take back her homeland. Does Jon Snow turn south to seek revenge or remember his duty along the Wall?"

Game Of Thrones returns for its fourth season on April 6.

So how many Starks are we going lose this season.

Ugh, Littlefinger's so creepy whenever he talks to Sansa. He was obsessed with her mother, and now he's obviously going to some dark, twisted things to her if he gets the chance.

@Sauron

Well, some really interesting scenes between those two are coming up soon...

I love how NOBODY gives a flying [frick] about Rickon. I didn't even realize he was a Stark child until some point half way through S1. Still, with Rickon, he may serve a purpose in the War To Come. Bran is North of the Wall, Jon is at the Night's Watch, Arya and Sansa... won't say as that's spoiling, but Rickon's very presence would rally up the Northmen into another attempt at independence.

Just finished Dance With Dragons (and the entire series in a month; I have no life). For people who haven't read the books, this season has the most gamechanging actions/consequences.

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.

@MAC House Targaryen though!

That one knight (being vague for spoiler reasons) is going after Rickon right? :)

oh come one, stop acting like the Red Viper is the best thing in the world since air condition. he is cool, but why is everyone so obsessed? he is an expendable character with a spear. wow. amazing. is it gonna be gerold dayne next season?

Maisie Williams isn't even 18 yet...the hell is wrong with creeps like you? She's cute, but I wouldn't go around announcing that I want to [frick] her.

Now Emilia Clarke? Talk all you want about wanting to [frick] her if you're so compelled to do so.

Danaerys is gorgeous, Jorah Mormont is a badass, and those dragons! So amped for this season.

Haha hey, I'm all for fun. Just don't stoop to that kind of level of being pathetic, IMO.

Same here MAC. And even if I were older than Clarke, she's an actress that's done several nude scenes, she's in her 20s...I wouldn't feel dirty to say how hot she is. Maisie Williams though? COMPLETELY different story.

And yeah, Jorah is pretty great. Considering that he was actually spying on Danaerys for Varys and Robert Baratheon in season one, he's come a long way.
DCfan89
DCfan89 - 2/25/2014, 12:53 PM
yeah, mac, it was really moreso a shadow of a dragon flying across a mountainous terrain leading us to Dany and Jorah. where he tells her,"They're dragons khaleesi, they will never be tamed, not even by their mother."
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 2/25/2014, 12:53 PM
Well they didn't actually SHOW the dragons, just their shadows. Such a tease! It's mostly about Danaerys and Jorah talking about how dragons can't be tamed, not even by their mother.

@Sauron

Gorgeous girl with the white hair. By the way, I'm watching a WETA video on how they made Smaug if you're interested. Even though you didn't like Desolation and we share the same video on his Wyvern body what's your actual opinion on Smaug overall? The voice was perfect though in my opinion and so was his actual face. Whatever one might think about the lack of six limbs, the face/head was brilliant. You could actually tell when he was getting agitated, frustrated or sadistically happy.
Klone
Klone - 2/25/2014, 1:01 PM
Varys vs. Littlefinger? Got those scenes are great. Looking forward to Martell. And I know exactly why he's there, what he wants and why and why he fights you know who... but it wasn't spoiled... I was watching the Extended Lore when they talk about the Sacking of King's Landing... [frick] me the Mountain is definitely up there Joffrey and Ramsay.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 2/25/2014, 1:04 PM
@MAC, I actually thought the design of Smaug (aside from the whole Wyvern thing) was pretty impeccable. I couldn't imagine how they'd create a dragon head and somehow make it talk and appear as natural as it possibly could, and they knocked it out of the park. And even the design of his jaw was pretty great, because it actually looks like he has a sinister smile all the time.

Cumberbatch killed it with his voice work. Absolutely perfect. Sometimes the electronic-quality of his voice (because the effects crew obviously messed around with Cumberbatch's voice to make it more menacing) got a bit distracting at times, but that's just a nitpick. Overall, I was pretty pleased with Smaug's design.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 2/25/2014, 1:06 PM
I've heard from book fans about exactly why Martell's in King's Landing this season...I can't wait to see how it plays out. But yeah, the Mountain is pretty much a monster. Probably less so than Joffrey or Ramsay (just because those two are such unparalleled, utter shits), but the things he did to the Targaryen family in King's Landing...yikes.
Klone
Klone - 2/25/2014, 1:11 PM
@Sauron

Ramsay in the books (I watched an extended lore thing from this fan, so not exactly spoilers) is even more [frick]ed up. And yeah, I didn't exactly have Martell's presence spoiled for me. I knew he was there fore revenge but when I watched the extended Lore from S1 and it talked about King Landing's sack I put the pieces together, so avoid it it you don't want to know completely.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 2/25/2014, 1:19 PM
@MAC, We'll probably get to see even more of Ramsay's insanity this season. Right now I can't picture him being even worse than Joffrey, but seeing more of Ramsay could change that for me.

I have an idea of what Martell's motivations are, but yeah I'll probably stay away from finding out for sure until the season starts.

They so should have stopped the film at "I am fire. I am death"

Bilbo's awkward "what have we done?", a somewhat cliche line when used wrongly, brought it down. I seriously wonder how much Drogon will own this season.
Klone
Klone - 2/25/2014, 2:22 PM
@Nasseal

Well what the Red Wedding so shocking was that it wasn't even half way through Storm of Swords. No grand climax material. It simply happened. Two man characters gone like that.
Klone
Klone - 2/25/2014, 2:23 PM
@Nasseal

Same. I'm only nitpicking about ending it with Bilbo's line, not the line of the malevolent dragon with murder in his eyes.
Klone
Klone - 2/25/2014, 2:26 PM
@Nasseal

Yes. I think people sort of over exaggerate Joffrey. For example, in the books prior to capturing Theon at Winterfell, he literally terrorized the North while Robb was fighting a war, raping and killing, flailing babies alive, etc. One time he forced this old powerful landwoman widow to marry him, making her estates his and he then locked her in a tower and let her starve to death. When they found her body she was missing her fingers as she tried to eat them to stay alive during her starvation.
