But wait Marvel don't have the rights to the Xmen or any of their mutant properties.

Next week's episode looks pretty sweet. I am starting to like Grant. I think he could have been a front runner for a big CBM. If we didn't already have a perfect Superman, I'd throw him in a fancast
NightForce

People seriously think that guys iron fist??? I sure as [frick] hope not. From what we've seen already of the show he is just some random guy with powers.

And he doesn't even have the same powers as Iron Fist, soooo...

Wrong, they cannot use Mutants, anyone tied to Fantastic Four, or Spidey. Everything else is free game. Heck, even during the interviews when the first show aired they even said this...

Iron Fist is Caucasian and a chi master not likely to loose his cool.

@Batz

As far as Live action characters, Fox Studios owns every mutant and anything X-men related, the same with Fantastic Four.

Sony got Spidey

they're giving him something for his power. Most likely an extremis 'alternative'
Luigi

It's not Iron Fist. You guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment if you assume a major character from the comics is going to be in each episode.

@Jojo are you sure it's separated by live-action and animation? Because asides from Wolverine vs. The Hulk none of the Fox characters have been in any animated Marvel films but they appear all the time in there shows.
Havenless

@Jojo

Except for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, they're joint ownership between Fox and Marvel. Hence why Quicksilver will be showing up in both franchises.

And Fox did NOT get Namor, which is a FF villain originally. He apparently belongs to Universal.

@Luigi

That's just because Marvel doesn't make very many animated movies. They can use whoever they want, the deal is isolated to live action and references to the live action (an animated show where he's meant to look like Hugh Jackman, etc)

In this episode, we saw a man get his hand cut off, (literally saw it), and someone taking another person's eye out of their socket. That doesn't seem like typical "Disneyness" to me.

Actually Marvel still has the rights to all their characters when it comes to tv/animation shows, they just sold the films rights to other companies.

So that could be Sunfire for sure, may be our only chance to see anyone from the X-Men Universe in the MCU :]
