'Hive' Reveals His True Form In This Promo For Next Week's AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: "Paradise Lost"

Looks like next Tuesday's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to be an eventful one, as Hive reveals his "true self" to a very shocked looking Gideon Malick. Get a glimpse of the parasitic creature after the jump....

Looks like this incarnation of Hive will wind up looking slightly more like his comic book counterpart after all. This promo for next week's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. teases the artist formerly known as Grant Ward's full transformation into the parasitic creature, and judging from the look on Gideon Malick's face, it's not going to be a pretty sight.

@PantherKing - Jesus the face melting! the skeletons! That was some shit you normally only see on cable!

@homodrome - I was surprised it was even allowed on TV.

@PantherKing - I am a big horror fan, and I have to say that it was on par with a show like Hannibal or American Horror in terms of gore. In fact I can't think of a show that has done full face melting so graphically before, even on cable.

@PantherKing - I hated the "night night" guns. Every other agent of shield used lethal force, but here on this show, they were tasing people? No, no, no. Though, I also like that they claim to be with the ATCU now. It makes more sense.

May I also say that if ever Coulson should die, now would be that time. End the season with Coulson being killed by Ward. Especially since Whedon has officially left Marvel, there's no more of a reason to keep his characters alive. They can go in a direction that's darker and more Marvel-esque. Audiences liked Coulson back in 2012 when The Avengers came out, but I don't think he's considered a popular character, not nearly AS popular anymore. Honestly, I think Fitz and Simmons are more popular. Let's bring them IN to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as we bring Coulson out.

@Bakersfield - Coulson isn't Whedon's character. He was created by the writers of Iron Man. All the other characters on AOS were created by Joss or his kin, however. None of the TV actors are likely to move into the movies except Coulson. Feige's not interested.

@xeno - Except for Daisy and Bobbi. And I wouldn't count them out of the movies either.

@xeno - What I mean by the fact that he's Whedon's is that Whedon was the one who decided to spare him when Marvel threw him away in Avengers. I think it was kind of sad, but fans would have been perfectly fine with Coulson staying dead. And to many, he has.

That was a damn fine episode, to the point where I was ready to physically assault that tool George Steffanapolos for breaking in with news about the [frick]ing Wisconsin primary. "Breaking news! What every poll predicted would happen, happened! We can't possibly wait to share this non-news with you, or just run it across the bottom of the screen!" Go [frick] yourselves, ABC News.

@Chewtoy - Stephanopolous is still a thing? Here in Canada we have a Strombolopolous.

@Yaf - Apparently. They cut into the episode right when Malick was trying out the exoskeleton thing to report that they could now project that Trump lost the Wisconsin Primary, which was expected. That was bad enough, but then they went to some guy to discuss what this would mean going forward... Which was pretty much "Well, this looks even more like we'll see a contested convention months from now." Thank god they got that news to me as soon as possible.

@Chewtoy - Yeah. I almost threw my remote through the TV. AOS needs to not be on ABC in the worst possible way.

that was quite possibly the most cinematic episode of the series!
The one take fight?
The hydra attack right after the credits!
the vision Charles shows the CEO of the tech company?
Daisy v Malick?!?
The whole ending was like something out of a film!

Not to mention them setting up this whole 'Inhuman powers fill a purpose' plot.

I mean Raina sees the future and Gordon can teleport/bend space. They both die and a new psychic Inhuman shows up with Eden Fesi aka Manifold confirmed in SHIELD custody.

A massive outbreak of terrigen and what happens? Lash who is an inhuman compelled to cull those deemed not worthy of terrigensis.

just everything about tonight's episode was amazing!
