BIGGER THREATS LOOM AHEAD AS THE TEAM TRIES TO STRIKE DOWN HYDRA, ON THE MIDSEASON PREMIERE OF "MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." ON ABC

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for a game-changing second half of Season Three, TUESDAY, MARCH 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST) on the ABC Television Network.

In the midseason premiere, "Bouncing Back," in the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all. Meanwhile, Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they've never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

No longer able to keep powered people out of the public eye, Daisy and Mack press forward to find more Inhumans, building a team of secret warriors whose mission is to train and protect powered people. However, the growing presence of Inhumans proves to be a polarizing issue, and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team must face conflicting public opinions and defend their team from groups who have a more extreme ideology.

The divide between those who want to protect Inhumans and those who seek to destroy them is constantly widening, and Hydra, now strengthened by Grant Ward, looms once again. However, Ward is no longer the same villainous traitor that they once knew, and the team faces an all-new enemy, whose motivations, goals and strengths are unclear. Uncertain about who (or what) they are facing, the stakes for S.H.I.E.L.D. and their assembled group of Secret Warriors are higher than ever, bringing some members of the team closer together and driving others apart. Will S.H.I.E.L.D. be able to stop one of the most powerful Inhumans to walk the Earth?

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for an action-packed third season, with Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) leading the charge as S.H.I.E.L.D. searches the world for more powered people in the aftermath of their epic battle with Jiaying and her army of Inhumans. However, Coulson and the team soon find out that they are not the only group looking for these new Inhumans.

Many months after their war with a rogue group of Inhumans, the team is still reeling. Coulson is again trying to put the pieces of his once revered organization back together while also dealing with the loss of his hand. His confidante and second in command, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), has yet to return from an impromptu vacation with ex-husband Andrew (Blair Underwood); deadly superspy Agent Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) is recovering from her traumatic torture at the hands of Grant Ward (Brett Dalton); Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) is obsessed with discovering the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge); and all are on high-alert for the next move from Ward and Hydra.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. features:
Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson
Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May
Brett Dalton as Grant Ward
Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson/Quake
Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz
Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons
Nick Blood as Lance Hunter
Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird

Its weird but this season of Agents of Shield feels like 2 seasons combined into one. This first half could easily have been its own season.

@BlackStar25 - That's how they have been doing since season 2.

I love Peggy Carter and Jarvis, and enjoyed quite a few supporting characters, but overall I didn't think that second season was very good. It's all on the writing... The whole season just felt random. What the point was to "Zero Matter" was, I just don't know. The villains were all very weak, and the story had no flow or build at all.

Really quite disappointing, especially since it seems like the characters would lend themselves easily to some very fun plot lines. Sadly, I don't think there is any way to justify bringing it back to do better. Haley Atwell has already been cast in some new show anyway.

@Chewtoy - not only do I agree but I want to double down on James D'Arcy's performance as Jarvis. Especially towards the end of the season, he really shined.

@Chewtoy - I half-agree. I was liking this season better mostly because Whitney Frost was more hateable (for me, at least ) than last season's villain(s). However, the writing (especially in the last episode) was so goddamn awful that it pretty much ruined everything. And that cligghanger ending... I don't think we'll ever get to see it solved, I doubt this will be renewed for a third season.

@JoeMomma29 - As I said wasn't referring to you.

Besides, posting a article in a AoS article. At least, lots of people visit Arrow and Supergirl thread to hate on it. But most people here just don't care to even click on a AoS article. I am saying, you are wasting your valuable efforts.
