As Daredevil: Born Again continues to round out its cast, the latest addition is Tony Award-winning stage/screen actress and director Nikki M. James.
Deadline broke the news, but as usual, don't have any details on who she's playing.
James originated the role of Nabalungi in hit Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, before going on to appear in the likes of AppleTV+ sci-fi drama Severance, Fox's Proven Innocent, and CBS series Braindead. She can currently be seen in Focus Features' Spoiler Alert.
As a director, James has helmed episodes of The Bite and The Good Fight, and also served as an assistant director on the Broadway revival of Once On This Island and A Christmas Carol.
James joins other recent cast additions Margarita Levieva (The Deuce) and Sandrine Holt (American Gigolo), who are set to play "major roles" (likely the leads' love interests).
The 18-episode series, which is being written and executive produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, will also star The Many Saints of Newark actor Michael Gandolfini and Colin Woodell (The Purge), with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio set to reprise their respective roles as the Man Without Fear and the Kingpin. Alaqua Cox is also expected to appear as Echo, but that's yet to be confirmed.
No official premiere date has been announced, but based on what we've heard, Fall 2024 seems likely.
