DAREDEVIL Star Deborah Ann Woll Comments On Possible Karen Page Return In BORN AGAIN

Daredevil: Born Again arrives on Disney+ in 2024, and while we know Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio will return, what about Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page? The actress ponders her MCU future right here...

Vincent D'Onofrio reprised the role of The Kingpin in Hawkeye, with Charlie Cox making his grand return as Matt Murdock just days later in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Both characters will return in 2024's Daredevil: Born Again (along with shows like She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo), but will they be joined by more familiar faces from Netflix's Daredevil?

One character whose name is frequently suggested by fans is Karen Page. Played by Deborah Ann Woll, her story arc definitely became a tad chaotic as time passed, but she remains a fan-favourite love interest and supporting character in the Man Without Fear's world.

Collider recently spoke to Woll and asked what it's been like for her to see that outpouring of love from fans. "So, I mean, it means so much to me. I love that character so much, and I do miss it," the actress admits. "I really felt like we were unfinished. We had so much more story to tell."

"So yeah, it's really gratifying to see how much people love her and want to see more from her. I hope I get to," Woll teases. "I'm here. They know my number."

The True Blood alum would go on to say, "I'm available, as far as I know. But it's up to them. I know they're going to tell the best story that they know how to tell. And if that includes Karen Page, that will be so exciting. But if it doesn't, I will be a happy viewer."

All signs point to Daredevil: Born Again being a fresh start for its title character in the MCU, and Karen brings a lot of baggage with her. It could be that Marvel Studios hopes to introduce a new love interest for Matt, and there are certainly plenty of possibilities from the comic books on that front.

She was great as Karen on Daredevil. But Disney sucks and Marvel is in a state of creative collapse. Marvel CAN NOT come close to producing a TV series with the quality of Netflix's Daredevil. So she might return as Karen Page but Marvel will ruin the character just like they already wrecked Kingpin and will soon wreck Daredevil by having him on the slapstick farce shit show that is She-Hulk.

@PartyKiller - You do know that it wasn't actually Netflix who created the original series right? It was Marvel Television together with ABC, therefore a "Disney show". Netflix was just the streaming platform, hence why they no longer have the rights to the series and Disney+ can stream it.

No thanks, she was an awful, annoying , selfish piece of garbage in DD Season 1. Please keep her and Foggy far away (or recast)

@Lilvic92 - yup, selfish. That's what I call the character helping an old lady fix her crappy apartment then when getting caught in an explosion is worried about the wellbeing of others.

Of course it would be interesting to see a Karen Page as destroyed as Matt in Born Again, somebody who followed her dream and ran afoul of gangsters only to be washed up, as a heroin-addicted adult film actress, in Matt's derelict arms.

But if Netflix were too chicken to tell Karen's story, then Disney+ certainly won't.

Netflix hinted at a dark past in the first season but then revealed it to be something far less gritty, I can't recall what.

At this point, I hope they make Born Again a full blown comedy just to piss some of you off.

Nothing against her but it wouldn't phase me at all if her and the actor for Foggy didn't return.

To be fair, better writing might do them a favour but they just played the Cliche complainers, there every episode just to moan at the protagonist and question his actions.

CW Felicity vibes

She was the worst part of the show.

I'll be happy to see her back. If they recast, maybe they could use her as Sue Storm though. I am pretty certain she'll be coming back though, and I'd be happy to see her.
