Is DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Star Vincent D'Onofrio Teasing Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones Return With New Photo?

Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D'Onofrio recently took to Twitter to share a photo of himself alongside Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter, but is the actor teasing Jessica Jones' long-awaited MCU debut?

Unfortunately, Marvel Television's Netflix TV shows all quite clearly declined in quality over time, and that was definitely the case with Jessica Jones.

Following a phenomenal first season, the second batch of episodes was a disappointment and the third...well, the less said about that, the better. Still, we really can't find fault with Krysten Ritter's performance as the alcoholic P.I., and rumours have swirled for a while that she may return as Jessica Jones in the MCU.

Earlier this year, Ritter shared some photos on Instagram of her hitting the gym, seemingly training for an upcoming role. However, the fact she was wearing a Daredevil t-shirt is what sent speculation into overdrive about a possible appearance in Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again

Now, the MCU's Kingpin of Crime, Vincent D'Onofrio has added further fuel to the fire by sharing a photo of himself, Charlie Cox, and Ritter all reuniting at a recent convention.

In all honesty, it seems likely that this was just three friends taking the opportunity to take a photo together. As you might expect, though, there are plenty of fans convinced this means something, especially as several reliable scoopers have teased Marvel Studios' plans for Jessica.

It was originally reported that Ritter had been eyed for a cameo in Echo, with scheduling issues bringing a quick end to that idea. However, we've since heard she'll be among the few Netflix characters joining the Man Without Fear in his new series.

As that's set to explore street-level superheroes across 18 episodes, it's arguably the best place possible for Ritter to get another chance to play Jessica Jones.

We wouldn't necessarily expect any sort of appearance to lead to another series or movie, but one would be welcomed, and she could quite easily become a recurring presence in any projects that take place on the mean streets of New York City.

The confirmed cast of Daredevil: Born Again includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, and Sandrine Holt as Vanessa Fisk. Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Nikki M. James, Michael Gaston, Arty Froushan, and Clark Johnson have all been cast in undisclosed roles.

Due to delays caused by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Daredevil: Born Again has been delayed indefinitely and we're expecting a 2025 debut for the reboot.

It would be nice if she were to return as her Netflix character at some time. I would hope sooner rather than later. That first season of J.J. on Netflix was fantastic with one of the better villains of any Marvel show.

I remember the second season being far worse than the third

@ElvenKingSlayer - It was. The 3rd wasn't good, but season 2 was an abomination.

@ElvenKingSlayer - Haven’t finished the third season but the second was such a slog to get through. Had to skip over the Hogarth subplot on a rewatch cause it was such a dull and useless part of the series. Could not give two shits about her character.

@ElvenKingSlayer - I was thinking the same thing. I wasn’t thrilled with where Patsy’s character went in Season 3, but I had to push myself to finish Season 2. It was a definite step up in quality, even though Season 1 was the best by far, all of course IMHO.

@RolandD - I really would love to see the Raft get used again in the MCU and to pick up where they left off with her.

@ElvenKingSlayer - Responed to the wrong comment. Just obsessive I think. If I hadn’t heard that season three was a big improvement, I might not a bother getting through season two.

@toylled - Here's how Josh probably sees it: "Shocking Revelation - Actors take photos together at con!"

Just wait till he sees the photo with Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Jon Bernthal posing with a fan, it's clearly teasing that the Punisher, a random civilian, and Daredevil will get into a fist fight with the Kingpin.

I like how you admit this is probably nothing in the article itself. Thanks for acknowledging you wasted our time.

So then why TF even write an article if it's obvious?

Well if she does show up somewhere it's probably going to have to be in "DD:BA" or another TVMA D+ series to properly display her excessive drinking habits, as Disney would probably want to shy away from that in more kid-friendly shows. But then again, they did have DD's intro in the MCU in "She-Hulk" and I think that they handled that just fine without necessarily diving into what's likely to be his more TVMA content which we'll see in "DD:BA". So you never know.
