What If...? was Marvel Studios' first animated TV series, and, for the most part, it received a positive response from fans and critics alike. More are on the way, including Marvel ZombiesSpider-Man: Freshman Year, X-Men '97, and I Am Groot, and a panel showcasing all of these shows and more will take place at the San Diego Comic-Con next Friday.

In the meantime, we have some new promo art for I Am Groot showcasing the different looks this adorable member of the Guardians of the Galaxy will have in the show.

Those pyjamas are ridiculously cute, as are the sentient tree's differing "hairstyles."

I Am Groot is a collection of five original shorts starring Baby Groot, everyone’s favourite little tree, and will feature several new and unusual characters. All five shorts will be available for viewers to watch upon launch, and the expectation is that the show will feature photorealistic animation more akin to regular VFX than a cartoon.

"There’s no guarding the galaxy from this mischievous toddler," reads the official synopsis. "So get ready as Baby Groot takes center stage in his very own series, exploring his glory days growing up - and getting into trouble - among the stars."

Vin Diesel, who is the voice of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, is the voice of Baby Groot. The writer/director is Kirsten Lepore, and the executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum and James Gunn.

I Am Groot is set to premiere on Disney+ on August 10, just one week before She-Hulk: Attorney at Law also debuts on the streaming service.

@MosquitoFarmer - Who knows what the lifespan of the Groot is? Actually, I’m sure someone on this thread could respond with the canon facts about Groot from the comics. Regardless, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s an adult by the time of Vol. 3. I have to say that I got a kick out of adolescent group in Infinity War, but yeah, I’m ready for adult Groot again.

I think GoTG 3 is my most anticipated release of the whole phase 4. Especially knowing Bautista and Gunn are done after, which probably means the majority of the cast are finished also.

@UnderBelly - i totally see any of them being cool to come back to any franchise to pitch in. i highly doubt batista would turn down a drax disney plus series if pitched it. these aren't narcissistic academy chasing actors. they love these parts and working in the mcu.

@supermanrex - I don't see it. Especially Gunn and the way Dinsey fired and re hired him.

I fully expect to see this referenced in some sly form within the film aswell. I guess we'll see.

Bautista: https://screencrush.com/dave-bautistas-done-with-drax-after/

Maybe he dies though.

@UnderBelly - Everything in phase 4 is the most anticipated- until it debuts. Feels like the first time I opened a bag of chips, and saw half the bag missing.

@VictorAlonzo - Phase 4 for the most part has been dissapointing, but I did like Shang-Chi and Spider-man NWH. I Do think though with the feeling of 'finality' for gotg 3 it has the most potential to be special, or like you said it can be a total let down.

Wtf, is he casually farting in that Poot Poot image? Wtf is Disney.... you know what, I don't even care anymore. I just watched a movie with 7 scenes of screaming goats...

Soooooo - is this canon??

It seems important that I know this.

@Orphix - Gunn has implied that it's not canon, which is a bit confusing, considering it's seemingly staged as a prequel to GotG 1, unless I'm misreading.

Eh, these are animated shorts. I mean good! So, I'll be skipping.
