FARGO's Rachel Keller Will Play The Female Lead In FX's LEGION TV Series
Here we have our first bit of casting news for FX's X-Men spin-off TV series, Legion. 23-year-old Rachel Keller will play the unnamed female lead, who might just have very similar powers to Rogue!
Deadline reports that Fargo season 2 standout Rachel Keller will rejoin showrunner Noah Hawley for his X-Men spin-off, Legion. The main character will of course be troubled mutant David Haller, but Keller has been cast as the mysterious female lead. All we have to go on is that she's "a scrappy, optimistic woman in her 20s," and will demonstrate powers that are "tied to human touch", much like X-Men mainstay, Rogue.
Any ideas? Hawley wrote the pilot and will also executive produce with Bryan Singer, producer Lauren Shuler Donner, writer/producer Simon Kinberg and Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb. We also have our first synopsis (of a sort) for Legion below.
Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David Haller has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
