Tonight, Legion faces off with the Shadow King for control over his own mind, but first, he'll have to save his friends from Division Three, which after what he went through last week shouldn't really be much trouble at all.

On another note, multiple sources are strongly hinting that you may want to stick around during the end credits...

FX Networks has released eight promotional stills from the season finale, titled "Chapter 8," which teases the opening moments of the episode, which will see David, Syd, Ptonomy, Kerry, and Cary encounter The Interrogator and his forces. Check them out below:

Season Finale - "Chapter 8" (Airs March 29, 10:00 pm e/p) - David faces his biggest challenge yet. Written by Noah Hawley; directed by Michael Uppendahl.

Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) – a troubled young man who may be more than human.

Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which he must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees are the result of him being a mutant.

A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists – Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Cary (Bill Irwin) – open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.

Legion features:
Dan Stevens as David Haller
Rachel Keller as Syd Barrett
Jean Smart as Melanie
Aubrey Plaza as Lenny Busker
Jeremie Harris as Ptonomy Wallace
Amber Midthunder as Kerry Loudermilk
Katie Aselton as Amy Haller
Bill Irwin as Cary Loudermilk
Jemaine Clement as Oliver Bird

Haven't seen this yet. Does the show do Justice to Shadow King?

@JonasWepeel - Not familiar with the comic version, but they've certainly made him out to be very powerful and evil creature.

This show is unequivocally the biggest surprise to come out of the comic book genre (for me, that is). It has been an absolute delight to experience it. I'm looking forward to tonight and Season 2, especially after hearing that they weren't going to be too beholden to the comics in S2. Let those sparks fly where they shall fly, I say!

It's gonna be hard to wait that long for S2!

Has anyone figured out, or have we been shown/told when this takes place yet? It's still a little fuzzy for me.

@MarsivNayr - I think its one of those shows were the time period (egs 70s, 80s, 90s, etc) is left ambiguous. It looks like a period drama but they use modern technology(which is retro).

If they chose to incorporate into the x-men cinematic universe. Since xavier is bald and utilising his 'x' wheel chair in the flashback sequence last week, we can assume that him giving Legion to his adoptive parents takes place after Apocalypse.
Davids around 30ish so I would guess this is possibly set in the modern day (around Deadpool time period).

@StormXmen123 - yeah I've pretty much thought the same. What a wonderful beast of a show. Outside of it's stylistic sensibilities, this is the 2nd piece of motion picture this year that has gotten me to almost literally be on the edge of my seat. The 1st being Logan.
